While we are saddened by our loss, we rejoice for Bro Earl West as he has finished his earthly race and has entered into the presence of the Lord.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalms 116:15

Thomas Earl West, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at his home in Hamilton. Born on February 3, 1933, in Bartahatchie, he was a son of Thomas Richard and Zula Whitaker West. Growing up on the family farm, he continued to farm all his life, including raising a garden for his family and was known for having the biggest and best tomatoes each harvest season. He was married to the former Viola Hearn who preceded him in death. With little formal education, Mr. West was highly talented and could do just about anything from tearing apart motors and rebuilding to plumbing. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and camping and he was a member of Hamilton Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Hamilton Church of God of Prophecy with Bro. Billy Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Kenneth Earl West (Linda), Danny Ray West (Kathy), and Thomas Steven West; 6 grandchildren, Jill Fikes, Sarah Reynolds, Kevin West, Blake West, Denise Buckner, and Lee West; 10 great grandchildren, Brandon, Westley, and Jon Parker Fikes, Simon and Mills Reynolds, Mason Buckner, Malachi Buckner, and Kaylee, Kinslee, and Kenna Rose West; and great-great grandchildren, Lake and Annistyn Fikes and Luci Fikes.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife of 59 years, Viola West; brothers, Marlin West and Richard ‘Junior’ West; and sisters, Vera Chaffin, Dorothy Allen, and Cliffard White.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Westley Fikes, Brandon Fikes, Jon Parker Fikes, Kevin West, Lee West, Simon Reynolds, and Kelly Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake West.

Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made to Hamilton Church of God of Prophecy, 40115 McDuffie Cemetery Road, Hamilton, MS 39746.

Come be with us on Wednesday, August 12 @ 7p.m. as we begin a new Book Study.

"One who fears God is not afraid of Him; rather, he or she is terrified of being away from Him. We live in awe of God and esteem Him above everything and anyone else. We love what He loves, and we hate what He hates. When a man or woman truly fears God, he or she will pursue walking in holiness and true humility; it's their passion." - John Bevere, author "The King is Coming"

**Coming Soon**

"Consider these facts. The return of Jesus is the second-most frequently mentioned topic in the entire Bible. It is mentioned 318 times in the New Testament alone! Only four books in the New Testament don't discuss the return of Jesus, which means 23 do. Bottom line: One out of every thirty verses in the New Testament mentions some aspect of the return of Jesus. Not only this, but other than the doctrine of salvation, it is the most frequent topic written about by the early church fathers." - John Bevere

Join us beginning Wednesday, August 12, 7pm as we begin the book study "The King is Coming" by author, John Bevere.

We are grateful to announce that Bishop Clint Knowles has been reappointed to serve as Regional Bishop of the Magnolia Region.

As he begins this new term, we commit to covering Bishop Knowles in prayer. May God grant him wisdom for every decision, clear direction for every step, strength for every responsibility, and a heart continually filled with love and joy as he leads our region.

We also pray for his wife, Elizabeth, asking the Lord to bless, encourage, and strengthen her as she continues to serve alongside him. May their home, family, and ministry be surrounded by God’s peace, favor, and grace.
