Determined to serve Him only, not money.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24, NKJV.

Mammon in the Greek means wealth, and the gain of it is the basis by which this world system operates. According to mammon, wealth is the key to your happiness and self-worth; therefore, live for it and serve it. First, pursue it. Mammon says let money and material possessions be the sun in your life, and all that you are revolves around them.

We can’t serve two masters. Either you will love and embrace the one, or hate and despise the other. The devil, through mammon, will always promise what it only temporarily delivers. You will have a house, but not a home. You will have sugar, but it won’t be sweet. Mammon will ultimately leave you unhappy and empty.

Choose to continue to love the Lord and embrace His ways in your life. No matter the temptation as a man that you may have, remain strong and hold fast to seeking His kingdom and righteousness first, knowing the Father will take care of you. Continue to do God’s will, Who will bless and prosper you in His way. I am a living witness that He will financially increase you without having to compromise Who you serve.

Prayer: Father, thank You for revealing to me the truth about mammon. Examine my heart and if I’m serving it. I repent and choose to serve You. My life will revolve around the Son. I reject mammon, and my happiness will not be based on money and things, but on You and Your will for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Keep following Jesus.

“But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing” Luke 9:11, NKJV.

The people at this moment decided to follow Jesus, and He didn’t turn them away. He didn’t turn their need away. He received them. Jesus took care of all their needs. The Lord took care of the whole man. He ministered to them spiritually, healed them, and miraculously fed them.

There will always be the blessing of being received and provided by Him when you follow Him.

There will never be a moment when you decide to follow Him, that He won’t receive you. There will be no mention of what you have or haven’t done. He won’t reject you and your need, but welcome you. He won’t turn you or your need away.

Keep choosing to hear His voice and follow Him. He’s going to minister to the whole man and take care of you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for all You’ve done. Thank You, Jesus, that as I follow You and come to You, You will receive me. You welcome me to come, and You will lead me. I am never condemned or rejected. As I follow You in these times, help me to trust that You will continue to take care of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The devil’s cord was pulled a long time ago. He has no power!

He will save you.

“For 'whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'” Romans 10:13, NKJV.

Jesus will save you. He will change you. I know you’re tired of how you’ve been living. You’re tired of the pain. Jesus wants to take it away and give you a new life. God wants to set you apart for His purpose and plan. He has a great plan for your life, and the things He intends to bring to pass are far beyond you can imagine. He is real, and He wants to make Himself real in your life. You only need to call on Him. He’ll save you.

Prayer: Jesus, I believe you are God’s son that came and died for all my sins. Every last one of them. You rose, and you are alive today. I call on you, and I ask for you to save me. Not only save my soul but save my life. Lord, I give you all my pain and receive now Your peace. Live in me and make me a new man. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To get something you've never had, requires something you've never done.

“Then Jesus said to them, ‘Children, have you any food?’ They answered Him, ‘No.’ And He said to them, ‘Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish” John 21:5-6, NKJV.

In your life, to get something you’ve never had, you will have to do something you’ve never done. It will cost you something. It may not necessarily cost you money, but it will require a higher level of commitment, change, or doing something new you’re not used to doing.

To reap different fruit, you’re going to have to sow different seed. If we keep doing the same things, spending our time the same way, reading the same things, yet expecting different results, our days and years will become repetitive and unfruitful. God desires that your life is filled with new experiences, new knowledge, and new income, you become healthier, your marriage gets better, and most of all, you go higher in Him.

Refuse to be stagnant regarding what you want to see happen in your life. You can be all the Father desires for you to be. God has said it is yours, and Jesus will help you do what you’ve never done.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise! I ask that You show me and help me do what I need to do to have what I’ve never had. I can’t keep doing the same things expecting different results. Help me not to be afraid of what’s required of me. Your grace is sufficient, and You have great plans for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Not educated. Not eloquent. Just use me.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus” Acts 4:13, NKJV.

Peter and John weren’t educated or trained, but they had been with Jesus. They hadn’t been to seminary. Yet, God used them to do what would confound the wise. The Lord used them to change the world.

Like the apostles, all you need is that you’ve been with Jesus. All you need is obedience. All you need is a call from God. All you need is for God to say speak. All you need is the Holy Ghost power of God!

The Pharisees, the religious people, loved their education more than the people whom God gave it to them to serve. They loved themselves and what they knew, rather than caring for people. The Lord is not concerned about your eloquence or if you know exactly where the scripture is.

Life savers don’t have to be pretty to save. You may not be the cleanest. You may have had some bumps and scars along the way, but you can still save. You don’t have to be educated. You just need to obey God, and He will make the difference. He will do the miraculous when you step out and let Him use you.

Tell God today it doesn’t matter if I’m educated or eloquent. Just use me.

Prayer. Father, thank You for the encouragement to let You use me. Whether I know all the books of the Bible, and haven’t memorized scripture yet. All I know is that I have been with Jesus, and I have the power of my testimony of Him in my life. All I know is I was once blind, and now I see. Give me courage in this hour, and use me to change the world, Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

What you focus on, you will capture.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” Proverbs 16:3, ESV.

Using a camera lens, we can zoom in, zoom out, change lighting and make other adjustments to snap a picture. As good as the camera may be, it still requires focus to capture the shot we want. Our lives are like cameras that must be focused in order to accomplish what the Father has for us to do. The bridge between you and your purpose is your focus.

Some of us can find ourselves being distracted losing our focus on the primary tasks The Lord has set before us. If you don’t focus on seeking God, you won’t find Him. No matter how much talent you have, if you don’t focus on becoming a disciplined individual and perfecting your gifts, you won’t achieve the success you desire. God has an amazing purpose for your life, and with some focus, you can experience the perfect will of God. You will see the prize of your calling and your goals obtained. Use the beginning of this year, even if the Father says to pray and fast, to locate and set your focus on what the Lord has for you. What you focus on, you will capture.

Prayer: Father, you are good, and I know You have great things in store for me. I get overjoyed when I think about your plans for me. Help me to stay focused. I come against all of the enemy’s distractions. I have the mind of Christ. By Your power, I ask for a focused heart. I ask for Your direction, and I receive the focus necessary to carry out Your will and possess what you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

You have His ear.

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬, NKJV‬‬.

What an honor and a privilege for God Almighty’s ears to be open to our prayers. Talk to Him. Tell Him what’s on your heart. Tell Him what you’re going through. Ask for His help. Ask for the lost. Tell Him you’re in pain and ask Him to remove it. He sees you and hears you, and is open to answer you. Open to be merciful, gracious, and kind.

Esther had the ear of King Xerxes. Bartimaeus had the ear of Jesus. You've been made righteous in Christ, and you now have the ear of God. Ask of Him today.

Prayer: Father, You deserve all the honor, praise, and glory. Thank You, Jesus, that through You I have been made righteous, and the ears of You, Lord, are open to my prayers. You lean in to hear us because of Your great love toward us, Father. Therefore, I come boldly and ask of You. I make my requests known to You, and I thank You for answering me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is sufficient!!

Set thought boundaries.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3, NKJV.

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper” Psalm 1:2-3, NKJV.

From the moment we wake up in the morning, all kinds of thoughts come to our minds, but just like boundaries set for a task that we must do at a particular time, set boundaries in our thought life.

Say not right now, you’re not thinking about bills or upcoming tasks ahead. You’re not thinking about Facebook or checking your phone. You’re not meditating on how the challenge you face will work out. No, right now, at this very moment, I set a boundary to think on the word of God and how I can apply it in my life. At this particular moment, I will not set my mind on anything or anyone else. Everything else can wait. Putting God’s word on your mind and in your heart has priority, and that’s what you diligently decide to think on. Meditate on day and night. Talk to God about and ponder on. Ask God to speak and reveal His truth that will change your life.

All battles of worry and anxiety set next to the word of God will bow. A mind on the Lord promises to bring you perfect peace. Like having no holes in your pocket, there are no holes in God’s peace. It passes our understanding. So, when you wake up in the morning, set your thought boundaries and say I will first open God’s word and think on it. The Lord will then speak and give you direction about everything else before you. The devil wants to keep the believer too busy for God. The devil will solicit what to think on because he knows as a man thinks, so is he, and whoever has your thoughts has your life.

My brother, be vigilant and set thought boundaries today.

Prayer. Father, thank You for speaking to me about my thought life. Right now, I begin to set thought boundaries. I will begin my day with a set boundary and think on Your word. I take every thought from the enemy captive to the obedience of Christ. I praise You in advance for prosperity, clarity, and direction as I keep my mind on You and Your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
