It’s easy to forget how far God has brought us.
We can get so focused on what’s right in front of us that we lose sight of the mercy that carried us through every season behind us.
Paul’s warning in Romans 11 wasn’t just for the church in Rome—it’s for us too. Don’t let pride grow where gratitude should be. Don’t forget where you came from. Don’t forget the patience God showed you, the grace He poured out on you, and the mercy that met you when you needed it most.
This week, take these three challenges seriously. Not as another religious checklist, but as an opportunity to let the mercy you’ve received shape the way you live.
Because when we remember our story, extend mercy to others, and trust God when we don’t understand what He’s doing, our lives begin to reflect the same grace that rescued us.
“May we never become so familiar with the grace of God that we stop being amazed by it.”
