Romans 16 can look like a long list of names we’re tempted to skim past.

But every name had a story. Every name represented someone who served, sacrificed, opened their home, prayed, gave, showed up, and faithfully used what God had placed in their hands.

They weren’t trying to make their names known. They were trying to make HIS name known.

And 2,000 years later, we’re still seeing the impact of their faithfulness.

The same is true for us today.

The Kingdom of God doesn’t move forward because of one person behind a pulpit. The Kingdom of God moves forward through the people of God doing the work of God together.

Swipe through ➡️ for three challenges from Romans 16 that we can put into practice this week.

Then tell us in the comments: Which of these three challenges do you need to focus on most this week—1, 2, or 3? And why?

Let’s be a church with One Mind. One Message. One Mission.—not concerned with people remembering our names, but committed to making the name of Jesus known.

📍 THIS SUNDAY — WE’RE GATHERING TOGETHER AS ONE!

This Sunday, The Church of Hamilton is joining churches from across our area for the Center City Network Unity Service!

I love opportunities like this because we get to step outside of our normal Sunday routine and worship together with other churches in our community. We may have different names on our buildings, but we’re part of the same Church and we’re all about seeing Jesus lifted up and lives changed.

We’re going to worship together, hear from missionary Rick Romano about what God is doing in the Dominican Republic, and celebrate baptisms! 🌊

After the service, we’ll also have a Back to School Celebration with food, inflatables, and more. So make plans to stick around and enjoy some time together!

🗓 Sunday, August 30
⏰ 10:30 AM
📍 Pond Road Middle School
150 Pond Road, Robbinsville, NJ

There will be NO service at The Church of Hamilton this Sunday morning. We’re joining the network for this special gathering.

I really hope you’ll make plans to be there. Let’s show up together and be reminded that we’re part of something bigger than just our local church.

One Mind. One Message. One Mission.

See you Sunday! 🙌

When You Can’t Move

Maybe you feel stuck.

You’ve been waiting.
Praying for an answer.
Dealing with disappointment.
Facing a closed door.
Carrying something you wish God would simply remove.

But what if stuck doesn’t mean stopped?

Sometimes we measure movement by what changes around us. But God may be measuring movement by what He is changing within us.

Paul was in prison when he wrote, “I press on.” His circumstances hadn’t changed—but his pursuit of Christ hadn’t stopped.

Sometimes the prayer isn’t just:

“Jesus, get me out of this.”

Sometimes it’s:

“Jesus, help me know You while I’m in it.”

When you can’t move, you can still:

RELEASE — Let go of what’s holding you.
RECEIVE — Remember where your identity and worth come from.
PURSUE — Ask, “Jesus, what do You want to do in me here?”
PRESS — Take the next faithful step.

You may feel stuck, but you are not stopped.

Christ has already taken hold of you.

So press on.
Not because your circumstances are easy.
Not because you can see what’s next.
But because Jesus is worth the pursuit.

“I press on toward the goal…” — Philippians 3:14

What is God asking you to surrender, trust, or pursue in this season?

What is your life aimed at? 🎯

We’re all aiming at something—a career, a family, security, comfort, success, the next goal.

But for followers of Jesus, there has to be something at the center of it all: making Christ known.

Paul could look at everything God had done through his ministry and say, “Look at what I accomplished.” Instead, he pointed it all back to Jesus. The obedience belonged to Paul, but the power and the results belonged to God.

That same mission continues through us.

Wherever God sends us.
Whatever He places in our hands.
Whoever He places around us.

The gospel was never meant to stay inside the walls of the church. Eventually, it has to leave these four walls through us.

So this week:

🎯 Put a name to your mission.
🙌 Put what God has placed in your hands into the mission.
🙏 Stop trying to do Kingdom work by yourself.

The gospel is the message. The world is still the mission.

So here’s the question:

What are you aiming at this week?
