Praise the Lord!
First, I would like to give honor to a few people who are making this new season so special for me.
I give honor to Bishop J. Faraja Kafela of The Bridge Network in California for seeing something in me and pushing me toward who God has called me to be.
I also give honor to Apostle Roslyn Crossdale of Vision of Faith Covenant of Churches in Connecticut for allowing me to serve as one of the professors in her school. But much of the working and encouragement came through Bishop Dr. Anita Freeman. She would come to me and say, “Why don’t you do this?” And I would say yes, because I know that I am a teacher sent by God.
This is the change that I have been waiting for, and now I am walking in my assignment. The anointing of the Lord is still upon me today!
I am so elated that I was able to take part in such a beautiful ceremonial exercise. God blessed me when I was asked to serve as the Homilist. I had never done that before, but God is my resource! He said that He would do a new thing and that it would spring forth—and He walked me through every part of it.
In my message, I was able to speak during the examination of the candidates. My subject was: “Are You Ready? Says the Master—Jesus.”
I dealt with the song:
“I am a soldier in the Army of the Lord,
And I have my war clothes on!”
When you are a soldier in the Army of the Lord, you must sleep prayerful, walk prayerful, and stay prayerful every day!
I fussed about wearing the vestments because I did not want to wear them. I was comfortable with the robes I had already been wearing. But even in that, God blessed me!
When we went to the store to pick up my garments, the owner happened to stop by to pick up something. He decided to stay, and he personally helped me put on my garments. Even in that moment, God was blessing me—and I received a message from it: Sometimes God will send someone to help you put on what you did not think you were ready to wear!
The ride to New Jersey was blessed. We stopped to eat, and that was blessed. Apostle Morrison was on the bus with us, and she sat beside me. We were so deep in the Word that I told her, “You came for me today!”
I just wanted to share what God is doing for me. I am built for this, and I thank God for the people who saw something in me.
Many people passed me by, but it was not my time. Now, this is my time!
I know my “why.” I know my purpose. Every assignment God gives me is leading me toward Heaven. If I live right and keep my record clean, Heaven belongs to me!
Congratulations to all the candidates who were affirmed and ordained on August 23, 2026! Go forward in the power of God’s might. Walk boldly in your calling, remain faithful to your assignment, and let nothing turn you around!
So, it is not too late for you to catch on fire.
