🙏🏾 God of the rainbow,

Thank You for Pride Month and for the beautiful diversity of humanity.

Bless LGBTQIA+ siblings everywhere, reminding them they are loved, worthy, and never outside Your embrace.

As an ally, strengthen me to choose compassion over fear, justice over silence, and love that speaks, listens, and stands alongside others.

Give me courage to use my voice for dignity and inclusion, and humility to keep learning
and showing up well.

May we help build a world where everyone can live safely, openly, and with dignity, and where belonging is shared by all. Amen

“Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.” — Romans 5:1–2 📖

While life feels uncertain, these verses invite us to remember we stand in God's grace. And from that place of grace, we are free to face the future with hope.

💭 What helps you remain grounded in God's grace when life feels challenging or uncertain?

Happy Loving Day! ❤

Why is today called Loving Day? The “Loving” in Loving Day is actually the last name of Mildred and Richard Loving. The Loving Day Story begins when they were arrested for being married in 1958 because they were an in*******al couple living in Virginia.

Their case, Loving v. Virginia (1967), reached the U.S. Supreme Court. Their lawyers argued that laws against in*******al marriage came from slavery laws, intended to oppress Black people, and based on white supremacy. Other states had similar laws. Some of these laws applied to people of other races as well.

Nine years after their arrest, the Lovings won their case on June 12, 1967 (which is why Loving Day is on June 12). It was more than a victory for their family. It struck down all state laws against in*******al marriage in the U.S.

The Lovings’ memorable story (and fitting name), are part of a larger and continuing struggle for racial justice.
