Walking in the freedom Jesus desires for us begins in the mind. The enemy knows this — and he uses lies to keep us trapped, forming limiting beliefs that hold us back from God's very best for our lives.

But we are not without help! His Spirit is at work in us, gently renewing our minds and aligning our thoughts with His truth. That's powerful, because the direction of our lives will always follow the direction of our thoughts.

God's Spirit empowers us to be His witnesses — and that goes so much deeper than just sharing our faith with others.

He empowers us in our marriages to be a living witness to our spouse. As parents, He gives us the strength to raise generations that carry a legacy of faith. As a boss, an employee, a neighbor, or a teammate, He equips us to live in a way that naturally points people to Jesus.

The Spirit's power touches every area of our lives — not just Sunday mornings.

Today, we honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives to show us what true love looks like — a love that Jesus modeled for us. A love that serves, sacrifices, and stands by one another no matter what.

Jesus didn't just talk about love. He lived it. He gave everything. So did the men and women who made our freedom possible. We remember and honor you this Memorial Day.
