Congratulations to all the 2026 graduates 🎓 A very special congratulations to our very own graduate Amani Deana Mitchell 👏🎓 To God Be The Glory 🙌🏼 Through hard work, dedication, faith, and perseverance, Amani Deana Mitchell, the daughter of the beloved late Talatrecia Mitchell and the granddaughter of Diana Mitchell, has successfully completed a dual enrollment at Roanoke Valley Early College and Halifax Community College in Weldon, NC.

Amani graduated on May 8, 2026 from Halifax Community College with an Associates in Arts Degree and will graduate on May 27, 2026 from Roanoke Valley Early College with a high school diploma. She received numerous awards during her 4-year academic journey at both schools.

In the fall, Amani looks forward to attending North Carolina Central University in Durham, where she will pursue a degree in nursing and seek new opportunities for growth. (Eagle Pride...Amplified!)

Amani is grateful to witness the people, achievements, gifts and potential that God has placed within her. She would like to thank her Crowell Missionary Baptist Church Family for all prayers, support and love extended to her over the years. She prays that her next journey will be filled with wisdom, courage, success and continued faith in God’s plan.

Join us this Memorial Day as we honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and those who died on the battle for the Lord. Let us not forget the greatest sacrifice of all time was made by a man name Jesus Christ, on a cross who died not only physically but spiritually that we might live. Lord, we thank You🙌🏼

Recently I have really been going through and my faith has been tested and to tell you the truth, I failed. My son would continually say "what would Jesus do" and I would say, "I'm not perfect like Jesus." The Holy Spirit has really been whipping my behind. I try to live godly, but sometimes I fall short. I don't always cross every t and dot every i. Lord, help me continue to live my life in obedience to You by studying Your Word and staying in constant prayer. That I won't be "tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting" (Ephesians 4:14, NKJV) 🙏🏼
