Happy Sunday to all! Today, we celebrate our 159th church anniversary. We were established in 1865 and are so blessed to continue the work of our Lord and Savior in this branch of Zion. First Missionary Baptist Church of Halifax is a historic site. Thank you to all who joined us today!

New Associate Minister-In-Training alert! All praises to God as Brother Cameron Byrd has heard the calling on his life to train under our Pastor, Reverend Dr. Louis E. Yarborough, to be an Associate Minister of our branch of Zion. The congregation moved and approved that Brother Cameron's training begin. We are so very excited for this young man and his love for Christ and the sharing of God's Word. Brother Cameron is pictured below with Rev. Yarborough and with his mother, Sister Cynthia Byrd, our dedicated Missionary Circle Leader. Congratulations to the Byrd family!

Homecoming 2024! We were blessed with rain yesterday so our picnic adjusted to today after service.
