Missionary Renee Tucker was recognized at the Annual Missionary District Day held on May 18, 2024, at Broomfield CME Church in Richmond, Virginia, along with other missionaries of the Washington/Virginia District, and Mt. Pleasant CME Church couldn't be prouder. “Those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.” (Titus 3:8)
Renee Tucker grew up in Halifax, VA., and has been a member of Mt. Pleasant since she was a child. She is also the leader of our Children's Youth Fellowship (CYF) organization. If the kids could not attend the CYF meetings, she would pick them up from their homes to ensure they could come out and have a good time. She does not mind going the extra mile and lending a helping hand to anyone who needs it.
Renee has always taken an interest in youth and young adult activities in her church and her community. She currently owns and operates her daycare (Essential Babysitting Services). She always goes over and beyond her duties. She has no problem spending time with the kids on the weekend and taking them to community events. They will attend church with her, easter egg hunts, and family get-togethers; she loves seeing children outside being active.
If you come to Renee with a problem, she will try her best to assist you in any way she can. She has taken her shoes off and given them to a stranger while she was out running some errands. She does not mind helping the needy and spreading God’s love through her actions.
Renee's impact on the lives of others is profound. She embarked on a journey to help a local man find housing, and her efforts were not in vain. Her willingness to go on this 'little adventure' to improve someone's life is a testament to her character and the positive influence she has on our community.
