Obituary
Headland….Robbie Lee Farmer Baxter, a native and lifelong resident of Headland, died early Saturday morning January 2, 2021 at her residence. She was 94.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday January 4, 2021, at Gardens of Memory between Headland and Dothan with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr., officiating. COVID-19 Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to “Bridge to Tomorrow” Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Headland, 301 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.
Mrs. Baxter was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Farmer and Ada Lee Bynum Farmer. She was a graduate of Headland High School and worked as a bookkeeper for the family farm and fertilizer business. She volunteered her time in later years at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, loved working in her yards and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Headland. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by her husband, Terrance Moran Baxter, Jr., her daughter, Barbara Baxter Davis and her son, Terrance Moran “Terry” Baxter, III.
Surviving relatives include six grandchildren; Mike Davis (Taje), Columbia, SC.; John Davis (Lauren), St. Petersburg, FL.; Terrance Moran “Ted” Baxter, IV, Haleburg; Dr. Brent Baxter, Dothan; Kay May (Geoff), Woodstock, GA.; and Breann Baxter, Columbus, GA.; eight great grandchildren; Brenton Baxter, Evan May, Charlie May, Andrew May, Rosie Davis, Eliza Davis, Baxter Davis, Milo Davis; daughter in law Karen Grimsley Baxter, son in law Tom Davis (Faye) and numerous nieces and nephews.
