Sundays 6:30pm-7:45pm
The only time the group does not meet is holiday/summer breaks, half school and snow days, and teacher in service days. Basically if there’s no school, there’s no Youth Group that week! If the group time is called off for any other reason, teens will be alerted as soon as possible. The fastest way to be in the know about X-Live is to follow this page and/or providing an e-m
ail and/or phone that messages can quickly reach you. X-Live is a non-obligational group; come when you can, however often you can! The door is always open to teens who would like to attend. X-Live Youth Group’s goal is to provide a place where teens can come and learn more about Jesus Christ, what’s in the Bible, and how it applies to our lives. It’s an hour and a half of real talk, about real life issues, and what it means to have real faith. The Youth Group provides a no-cost snack bar for those who attend. There’s multiple activities, both inside and out, that can occupy the group’s free time between lessons and games. X-Live wants every teen that attends to have an awesome time, both in learning more about Christ and in hanging out with everyone! X-Live does, however, have expectations of behavior from all teens who attend. There is absolutely no teasing, bullying, mocking, or harming of others—verbally or physically—allowed whatsoever. Respect is to be shown to all X-Live Leaders and fellow teens who attend at all times. Any negative/destructive behavior will result in the teen having to leave the group for a short time or permanently, depending on the action. For the safety of both the X-Live Leaders and teens who attend, it’s asked that each youth who comes to our group fill out an informational form. This provides the Leaders with important emergency contact and medical information. These forms are put on file for reference in case of emergencies. In the case of severe allergies, medications, or medical conditions, please explain them in detail so the Leaders know best how to prevent reactions and/or injury, and how best to help you in case of emergency. If you have medical assistors such as inhalers and EpiPens, please include these on the form so Leaders know how best to help you in case of need. You’ll find the informational form attached to this letter; please fill it out and bring it the first day you attend X-Live. If you do not come to X-Live with this form, one will be provided to you to fill out at the group. X-Live also takes trips throughout the year to different locations. These field trips are announced well in advance and give the teens time to plan for them. Due to limited seating on our transport van, only teens who attend X-Live continuously throughout the year will be allowed on these trips, and in some cases they are first come first serve, so sign up quickly! Permission forms signed by legal guardians are required to go on these trips and will be passed out in advance. Details to be given as the year goes on. Please walk over to the church, located behind the school where the buses line up and through the fence gate, after school at 6:30pm for the group. Rides home are available but space is very limited. If you can be picked up, it’s very appreciated and we ask that you are. If you cannot be picked up we will transport you, but you may not be home until 8:15-8:45, or even later. Just a heads up! Any adults with interest in assisting with X-Live Youth on Wednesday nights and/or with chaperoning activities are encouraged to call 989-728-3821, message this page, or email [email protected], for more information at least 24 hours in advance. Thank you. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you at the X-Live Youth Group!
