📞 Calling All Gospel Detectives! 🔎

If you are between the ages of 4-11 and love solving mysteries/puzzles, then we have an opportunity for you! Come to First Presbyterian Church of Haines City this Wednesday evening (Class starts at 6:45pm) or Sunday morning (Service starts at 10:30am) to sharpen those detective skills. I need to find out what happened to Jesus in the tomb and you are going to be my super sleuths to help me crack the most challenging Case #316. I have been told by the Chief that we have to have this case solved by the end of April - we don't have that much time and I would love to have you on my team.
Have questions? Contact our FPC of Haines City church office for more information and ask to speak to Rebecca Burch.

✨🌿 It’s Holy Week, friends! 🌿✨

Even though this special video is arriving a tiny bit after Palm Sunday, it’s right on time for our hearts as we journey toward Easter together! 💜

In this fun and meaningful video, we take a look at what our attending kiddos did for Palm Sunday (hello, palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna!” 🙌), and we get excited for all that’s ahead this week at FPC Haines City. It’s a great way for kids and grown-ups to connect the story and prepare for the joy of Easter!

Here’s what’s coming up:

🌙 Maundy Thursday Service

⏰ 7:00 PM
A beautiful, reflective time as we remember Jesus’ love and the Last Supper.

🌅 Easter Sunday Services

Come celebrate the resurrection with us - hope, joy, and new life for everyone!

🥚 Gospel Easter Egg Hunt

🌴 Palm Sunday is almost here, and we’re so excited at FPC of Haines City!

Tonight (Wednesday, 3/25) is our final practice before the big day. Dinner will be at 6pm in Hospitality (the main entrance) and practice starts at 6:45pm in the Sanctuary. Even if your child is new, or hasn't attended in awhile, we would love for them to join us - our two songs are simple, fun, and easy to learn. It would truly be a joy to have your kiddos be part of our Palm Parade and Palm Sunday Praise/Worship!

Please take a few minutes to review I Am A Promise with your child (see attached video). If you need the practice track for Proclaim the Glory, just let me know - I’m happy to send it your way!

We can’t wait to see you tonight! 🌟

🦒☀️Safari Complete: Noah, the Ark, and a Fresh Start 🌈🐾

What a meaningful week we had in Children's and Family Ministries as we explored Unit 1, Week 4 of the Simply Loved curriculum - the powerful story of Noah’s Ark from Genesis 6:9–9:17.

In a world where people had forgotten how to live God's way, Noah stood out. He listened to God, followed His instructions, and built a giant ark - just as God asked. 🌧️ Two by two, animals climbed aboard, and as the rain poured down, God kept Noah, his family, and all those animals safe inside.
...but the story didn’t end with the storm - it ended with a rainbow, a sign of God’s promise and love. Through it all, the heart of the story reminds us of something incredible:

💡 Bible Point: God always loves us... and gives us do-overs.

God didn’t give up on Noah - and He doesn’t give up on us either. When we mess up, God’s love invites us to begin again. What a beautiful truth for kids to carry with them!

Speaking of love that’s long, wide, high, and deep… our tall friend Savanna the Giraffe has been helping us remember just how big God's love really is through our memory verse:

📖 “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.” – Ephesians 3:18

This Sunday will be our final week with Savanna, so don’t miss your chance to say goodbye and celebrate everything we’ve learned during this unit!

🐶 Here’s a fun bonus: This week we celebrate National Dog Day! We can't say for sure, but with all those animals on the ark, we’d like to think Noah had a few faithful pups along for the ride. 🐾

🎉 Parents, we’d love to see your kids this Sunday as we wrap up this unit with joy, connection, and a powerful reminder: God's love never runs out - and He’s always ready to help us start again.

See you there!

Hey there Adventurers (and shoutout to the grown-ups who make the journey possible)! 👋 Whether you're scrolling in the line of your favorite theme park ride or catching up after bedtime, no matter where you are, we’re SO glad you're here.

Last week in Sunday School, our young Explorers journeyed deep into the book of Genesis 3:1-24. We discovered how sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s choice to disobey God. However, even when they chose their way instead of God's (resulting in terrible consequences), He still loved them and made a way to care for them. 🌿🍎

🌟 Our big Bible Point this week was:
"God always loves us... even when we want to be in charge."
(Yes, even when we try to do things our way, His love never gives up on us.)

We also had a very special final visit from our Memory Verse Bible Buddy, Savanna the Giraffe 🦒- a tall, wise friend helping us remember that God's love is far, far, bigger in size than any of His creatures on Earth! This may have been our last official week with Savanna, but it’s not the last chance to learn our memory verse:

📖 "And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is."
- Ephesians 3:18

A few of our Explorers have already mastered this verse and earned the exclusive Savanna the Giraffe sticker 🦒🌟- congrats! Several others are so close, and we can't wait to celebrate their hard work, too.

👉 Every month, your child will have the chance to learn a new verse, earn a reward punch on their prize card, and collect that month’s Bible Buddy sticker.
✨ Memory verse attempts - whether perfect or still in progress - will always earn a mini sticker just for trying!

📝 Want to help your child review the verse at home? Just ask us for a copy and we’ll send one home with you!

🚐🚗✨ Join the Adventure - TOMORROW!
We’d love to see you and your little Explorers this Sunday at FPC! Whether you pack the car, hop on the bus, or ask a neighbor for a lift - just come! Here’s what’s waiting for you:

🥯 Light breakfast bar before service - skip the morning scramble!
🥣 Snacks/cereal during Sunday School - yep, we've got the kids covered!
📚 Sunday School starts at 9:15 AM
⛪ Worship Service begins at 10:30 AM
🎉 Children’s Church is available during the service for Pre-K through 5th grade - so you can soak in the Word, while your kids learn about Jesus' love in a way that speaks to them.

We can’t wait to continue the adventure together - you belong here.

See you Sunday, Explorers! 🧭💒

🎬✨ What a Night! ✨🎬

I’m still glowing from our All Church Movie Night at FPC - what a wonderful evening full of joy, fellowship, and lots of laughter! 💛 It was a full house, and my heart was so full seeing all your smiling faces gathered together Wednesday evening. From the giggles at each table to the joy of simply being together, it was a night to remember.

A huge THANK YOU to our dream team of volunteers who made everything run so beautifully:

🙌 Michelle Schneggenburger – you gave it your ALL and then some! Even running on fumes, you were an absolute gem.
🌟 Linda Golden, Mary Raith, Amber Chandler – your grace and willingness to help wherever needed did not go unnoticed!
🔥 Merlin Wertz – master of the grill! Those hot dogs were spot-on!
🍿 Robert Schneggenburger – thank you for popping that fresh, delicious popcorn and making the Hospitality area smell like a real movie theater! What a treat!
🙏 And a special thank you to Bob Konger for blessing our meal and setting the tone for the evening.

From nachos to popcorn, wings, hot dogs, and everything in between, we were fed both physically and spiritually. 🍿🌭🍗

The kids had a blast in the Youth Room (aka the Family Room) with their age-appropriate movie fun, while the adults were moved and inspired watching The Forge in the Sanctuary.

To God be the glory for such sweet fellowship. May we continue to grow together, laugh together, and serve one another with joy.

Until next time... 🎥⛪️💕
