Free on Saturday morning? Help out at Not Bread Alone!
Wesley volunteers participate each Saturday from 9-10:30 am by making fruit salad and sorting and bagging donated produce from Whole Foods. Our help is especially need when the students are gone over the summer...

Calling All Bikers!
Will Bike 4 Food, an annual fundraiser for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, will be happening on Sunday, September 20th. The ride includes distances of 4, 12, 25, 50, and 100 miles—the ride options for the Wesley Team (Wesley adults, kids, and friends) will depend on interest and having at least one adult rider per distance. The cost to participate is $35 for youth and $50 for adults. Join us as a biker or as a sponsor!

We sang this during worship earlier this month - have the words lingered in your heart?

"Help Us Accept Each Other" (no. 560 in The United Methodist Hymnal) is a powerful hymn on reconciliation and forgiveness. Rooted in Romans 15:7 — "Receive one another, then, just as Christ also received you, to God's glory" — it calls us to love others "as we find them, or as they may become."

🎵 Help us accept each other
as Christ accepted us;
teach us as sister, brother,
each person to embrace.
Be present, Lord, among us,
and bring us to believe
we are ourselves accepted
and meant to love and live.

The hymn also reflects Ephesians 4:15: “But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head.”

Wesley UMC 20th Anniversary Reflections
This fall, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of our church family’s move to this wonderful church on the hill in Hadley. We are compiling a booklet of devotional reflections written by our own members, those who were present at the move and those who have joined our family since. Let us be thankful for God's abundant grace!

"Freely, Freely" (no. 389 in The United Methodist Hymnal) was written by Carol Owens in 1972. Inspired by Matthew 10:8 — "Freely you have received; freely give" — this beloved hymn has become a congregational favorite for its simple, singable message about grace received and grace shared.

It reminds us that the love and forgiveness we've received from God isn't meant to be kept to ourselves — it's meant to be given away.
