Congregations and their members are navigating profound upheaval in these times, and I am continually inspired by the creativity and care with which Unitarian Universalists carry out life-saving ministries in diverse communities and contexts. The heart of Unitarian Universalism lives in congregations and communities – in the lay leaders, musicians, religious educators, ministers, and all who gather together week after week. It is an honor and privilege for the UUA to support that vital work.

Our living tradition will outlast these painful times, beloveds. Just as our religious forbears have done across the centuries, we will be shaped by what is happening in our wider world, but we will not be defeated. We will continue to invite all people of good will, who would live their lives by a set of shared values, to join us in dreaming the world anew. We will freely embrace our covenantal tradition and move together to center justice, reason, and love in our spiritual living.

Join us FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th - MOVIE & POPCORN NIGHT!

The featured film is DRUID PEAK.
7:00pm downstairs at SUUF

A troubled teen is sent to live with his estranged father, a park ranger, who is a wolf tracker in the Wyoming wilderness. .During his time there, he develops an unusual affinity with and passion for the wolves in a local pack.

While set against the timely background of the effect wolves and other apex predators have on the trophic cascade, this is much more than a conservation movie, despite its message. It shows how transformation can come in many forms, including the ability to discover the wild within us.

Some of you will remember Sandee Conroy, the singing bowl lady ❤️. Sandee shared her gift of playing the bowls at SUUF once a month for quite awhile before moving to Texas. It is with a heavy heart that I share her passing. Sandee brought so much love to her SUUF sessions. I think of her often.

Mutual Aid and Food Share

This Sunday, 6/7, at 10AM we will have a panel presentation on the mission of Mutual Aid and the upcoming partnership between SUUF and Mutual Aid to offer Food Share to our community. Learn about this important organization and how you might become involved with the Food Share soon to be launched at SUUF.

This will be our last service until September.
