“Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’”
—John 20: 21-22
MAY 25, 2026–GWINN, MICHIGAN
1st SUNDAY of PENTECOST at the GUMC
JOIN US Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as DAWN TWEEDLE leads us in worship on this Holy Day of Pentecost. Dawn’s message is an Invitation to the Holy Spirit. She says, “The Holy Spirit pours out knowledge and wisdom for us. Use your God-given gifts to be a blessing to others. Pour outward, accept what is given, share your experience.”
Dawn will have a message for the kiddos during Children’s Time before they enjoy Sunday School for the duration of the hour. Bring your kids or grandkids and join in the fun!
As RED is the color for Pentecost, we encourage those in attendance to wear red in honor of this special Christian Holiday.
JUDY COURTRIGHT serves as Liturgist.
The GUMC CHOIR sings “Gratitude,” an appropriate anthem considering the beautiful sunshine and flowers, the children of our church, various church outreach and ministries, for our growing church family and for the Holy Spirit alive in each of us. There is so much to be grateful for.
ALL ARE INVITED to worship together. You are sure to find the service inspirational and our congregation welcoming.
We are easy to find on the corner of Pine (M-35) and Jasper Streets in Gwinn.
Check out the bulletin to follow along with the service and see how we serve one another and the community.
Most recent outreach: Over 1,700 bottles of water were handed out at the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament this past Saturday, and on Friday, special gift bags for the Gwinn High School Senior Class members were assembled and handed out as the seniors marched by in front of the church.
If you cannot attend in-person, you are invited to watch and worship with us during the 10:30 a.m. Live-stream on Facebook. Locals may wish to listen on Radio 96.1 FM.
