TRINITY SUNDAY at the GUMC

BRIAN VEALE leads us in worship. Brian’s message “The Power of the Trinity” examines the Spirit in Partnership—what Trinity Sunday is about. Says Brian, “It is my plan to use water in different forms to show that the Trinity of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. Water, ice and steam…are one and the same…but in different states.”

Brian will also explain the concept of the Trinity during Children’s Time. Thereafter, the kiddos will attend Sunday School for the duration of the hour.

BRENDA VEALE serves as Liturgist and the GUMC Choir sings “The Prayer.”

“Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’”

1st SUNDAY of PENTECOST at the GUMC

DAWN TWEEDLE leads us in worship on this Holy Day of Pentecost. Dawn’s message is an Invitation to the Holy Spirit. She says, “The Holy Spirit pours out knowledge and wisdom for us. Use your God-given gifts to be a blessing to others. Pour outward, accept what is given, share your experience.”

Dawn has a message for the kiddos during Children’s Time before they enjoy Sunday School for the duration of the hour. Bring your kids or grandkids and join in the fun!

As RED is the color for Pentecost, many in attendance wear red in honor of this special Christian Holiday.

JUDY COURTRIGHT serves as Liturgist.

The GUMC CHOIR sings “Gratitude,” an appropriate anthem considering the beautiful sunshine and flowers, the children of our church, various church outreach and ministries, for our growing church family and for the Holy Spirit alive in each of us. There is so much to be grateful for.
