Located in Southwest Effingham County, just minutes west of historic Guyton, the Savannah Baptist Assembly is a retreat and recreation center owned and operated by the Savannah Baptist Association. Opened in 1967, the Savannah Baptist Assembly is dedicated to the Glory of God for the purposes of building Christian character and helping individuals find and rightly respond to God’s will for their

lives. Our ministry goals are to 1) provide a facility and an atmosphere that is conducive to the rest and renewal of God’s people; 2) be an instrument that our churches may use to evangelize, encourage, train, and mature the brethren; and 3) provide Christians a place for ministry and service.

About the Assembly

Since 1967, the Savannah Baptist Assembly has been dedicated to the Glory of God for the purposes of building Christian character and helping individuals find and rightly respond to God’s will for their lives.

As a ministry of the Savannah (GA) Baptist Association over the years, more than 100,000 guests have experienced the peaceful beauty of God’s creation on the Assembly campus for a retreat, camp, conference, picnic, celebration, camping trip or similar gathering.

With our location along Honey Ridge Road in the Guyton/Pineora area of Effingham County, we are strategically located for Savannah-area churches - we’re just far enough to be “away,” but not so far that you have to travel for hours. For groups beyond southeast Georgia, we are the perfect getaway location to host your group for a children/youth camp, leadership gathering, or any number of great ideas to get away and reconnect with the Lord.
