Powerful ❤️❤️❤️Read it !

Hello everybody! 😊

I just want to share with you a sermon preached by Sis. Celestial Mae Modanza. This was her entry piece at their recent Sectional Youth Camp, where she won the championship.

Feel free to share it and be blessed!

When the Crowd Walks Away.
~ Celestial Mae Modanza.

Scripture:
'From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. '
~ John 6:66-69.

We can all agree that no man has left a greater impact in this world than Jesus Christ. His impact is so powerful that until now, 2026 years later, Siya pa rin ang laman ng usapan.

Hindi nawawala ang pangalan Niya, hindi naluluma ang Salita Niya, at hinding-hindi kumukupas ang impluwensya Niya.

So kung gusto mo ng “maximum impact”, gayahin na natin ang greatest of all time! Hindi ang celebrities, hindi ang politicians, hindi ang social media influencers. LET’S IMITATE AND FOLLOW CHRIST, MGA KAPATID!

As we observe this text, after Jesus fed thousands of people, the crowd was excited. Akala nila, more miracles are coming. Then suddenly nag iba yung message ni Lord. Hindi na about blessing, hindi na about miracles. Jesus said,

“I am the bread of life. Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you.” And the crowd cannot fully understand what God was trying to say. His disciples said, “Lord, this is a hard teaching, who can accept this?”
But here’s the thing: Jesus knew na mao-offend ang maraming tao, but Jesus didn’t take back what He said. He replied, “The words I am speaking are full of spirit and life, but some of you do not believe it.” And at that exact moment, many of his disciples and followers turned their backs and no longer followed Christ.
Kita niyo mga kapatid, kahit si Jesus Christ, iniwanan ng mga followers.

Ang ironic, samantalang ang mga tao ngayon, may iilan obssess magkaroon ng maraming followers. But just because marami kang followers, does not mean meron kang maximum impact.

And alam niyo ba bakit maximum ang impact ni Jesus Christ? Kasi hindi siya PEOPLE-PLEASER! Hindi niya tinatago ang truth kasi natatakot siyang ma-offend ang mga tao.
And that’s our struggle today.
Marami sa’tin kapag may iniinvite tayong mga bisita sa church, we are worried,
“Hala, baka matisod siya sa Word of God.”
“Shocks, baka hindi na to magsimba ulit.”
So what do we do? We adjust the message, yung hindi masyadong masakit, and we settle for “motivational talks.”

But for you to truly make an impact, you need to stop seeking validations from the world!
Sige, sabihin mo sa kanila, “It’s fine, okay lang maging ganiyan, basta ang gawin mo, mag-ministry ka, magbigay ka–” No, if you don’t give your life to Christ, you will go to hell! That’s the truth.

Because the truth is not meant to comfort, it’s meant to transform! Kung mahal mo talaga sila, you will tell them the truth–kahit masakit.
That’s why I am amazed by Peter’s reply to God, “To whom shall we go?” Because following Christ will cost you something. Yes, some of my family and friends may leave me, yung mga old lifestyle ko kailangan ko ng baguhin, yung applause ng tao ay dapat hindi ko na i-priority because Lord, to whom shall we go?

Jesus himself never cared kung maeentertain niya ba ang mga tao, but rather they left Him and crucified Him! Jesus made an impact because He stood for what is right, and not what is appealing to the world.

Ang problema kasi sa iba, we follow Christ for “manna”, for blessings, and for convenience. We say, “Jesus, I love you talaga” kapag may breakthrough, pero kapag sinabi na ni Lord, ‘Take up your cross and follow me.” umaatras na tayo.
You don’t need the best version of yourself to follow Christ; you just have to come to Jesus and say, “Lord, I’ll follow You now, kahit mahirap.” There’s no better time to decide to follow Christ than now.

And lastly, you can never make an impact hangga't dumating ka sa point ng life mo na masasabi mong, “Lord, I have nowhere else to go, Ikaw lang ang pag-asa ko, Panginoon!”

You know what encourages me the most? Most of these disciples, ay mga Youth na kasing edad lamang natin. Probably, may career sila, may ibang life silang inaasahan. But when Jesus called them, they stayed. And because they stayed, they changed the world!

Youth, to whom shall we go? Because para sa’kin, eternity is my priority! If bibigyan ako ng chance, I’ll choose Jesus, over and over again! And the good news is, NOW is that chance.

Ang impact ay wala sa dami ng crowd, it only happens kapag sinuko mo na ang lahat sa Panginoon.
So I’ll ask you one more time.

When the crowd walks away, will you stay with Jesus?
