No photos or images to post here. However, many things have transpired and are taking place in the life of our church. In chronological order, last Sunday, we enjoyed a time of uplifting hymns with lots of favorite praise and worship songs courtesy of Zack Saunders. Caleb and Emilea, I hope Brynnleigh and Emberline were not too traumatized in the nursery, because I could not resist singing along.
After the worship time, it was on to our time-honored pitch-in dinner. The entrees and side dishes took tasty and yummy to a whole 'nother level. No better way to begin the week than an LBC Fam-Jam. As always, we extend our appreciation to all who provided food and stayed to clean up and put the rooms back together.
The highlight our time together, was to recognize and honor Pastor Dave and Carol's 26th year at Liberty Baptist. We thank you and stand in awe of your striving to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do not take your prayers and investment in our lives and the cause of Christ lightly.
Finally, today LBC's "Kid Magnet Extraordinaire," Cathy announced she will be passing the torch and stepping down from a 42+ year ministry as children's Sunday School Teacher. We are happy for you, Cathy, as you enter into a much deserved break. May this be a time of personal refreshing and revival for you, as the Lord opens a new chapter in your walk with Christ. Thank you for loving and ministering to these boys and girls and being a Godly influence. Granted, Cathy is gonna be one tough act to follow. However, ask the Lord to provide someone with boldness and humility step into this good work God began. How regrettable it would be if these young lives slip through the cracks.
A bit on the long-winded and wordy side this afternoon. So we will wrap it up by encouraging you to heed Pastor Dave's exhortation to get and stay in God's Word this week, so we can be as the Apostle Paul exhorts in 1 Corinthians 15:58.
