Thank you, Rav Dror, for serving as HaShem's channel to elevate our spirits -- especially now, at a time when SO many are hurting and many are beyond even finding words for it.

Tisha B’Av is not only about looking back—it is about looking forward.

Today we mourn the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash and the suffering of our people throughout history. But we also remember who we are, what we carry, and the hope that has never left us.

Even in exile, Am Yisrael has never stopped praying, believing, and building.

May this day inspire us to strengthen our connection to HaShem, increase love for one another, and merit to witness the final Redemption במהרה בימינו.

🕯️ May we all have a meaningful and transformative fast.

After "The Three Weeks" comes 1 Elul, "The New Year of The Animal"! Looking forward to that, now.

Maybe the most charming science story of the week. 🐦

A researcher spent 15 years decoding what zebra finches are actually saying — using machine learning to sort their chirps into 11 distinct call types. It just won her a $100,000 prize. The clever bit: to check she'd got it right, she played the calls back to the birds and watched whether they reacted the way her "dictionary" predicted. The birds, in effect, proofread it.

A real step toward understanding animal communication. 👇

In the last few years we've quietly spoken "entre nous" of that disconnect, even as the very real danger has escalated, the problem has NOT been resolved. Hoping these folks will help.

Re. this week's Parsha (Torah portion), per Chabad Center of Raleigh.

One of the Torah’s most enigmatic commandments that left even King Solomon, the wisest of all humans, utterly perplexed.

As we welcome Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, we enter a month that gently calls us to look deeper — at our lives, our choices, our faith, and the way we see Hashem’s guidance even when the path feels unclear.

Tammuz reminds us that even in narrow places, light can still be found. Even when life feels dry, healing can begin. Even when our vision feels clouded, emunah helps us see that Hashem is still leading us with mercy.

May this new month bring renewed faith, clarity, protection, healing, and peace to you and your loved ones.

Chodesh Tov from Rav Dror and the Emunah team 💛
