We closed out an amazing week of Mission Camp and are so thankful for all those who came and served and gave of their time and energy to make Mission Guthrie a success! Now it's time to "Bring it Back" to Stillwater! See you in 2017 for Mission Stillwater.

Tuesday was all about finishing what we started - the bathrooms and lockers at Fogarty were finished, more parking lots at GJHS and GHS and sand - sand - sand - moving lots of sand at the Central and Fogarty Elementary Playgrounds. We also had two groups work on getting the Community Garden by Mineral Wells Park back in shape. One of our groups also went out worked at Logan County Aging Services and had lunch and played games with the people gathered there. We had two more meaningful worship times with "Stars Go Dim" and ended our night with a huge Luau at Central Christian Camp with great food, canoes, paddleboats, fishing, swimming, games and smores.

Monday's Mission: We welcomed "Stars Go Dim" as they led us in worship and then the troops headed out to begin work - painting lockers and bathrooms at Fogarty, striping parking lots at the high school, GUES and bus barn, playground maintenance at Catteral, moving furniture at GUES and cleaning the playground, working at Logan County Aging Services, painting the pavilion at Highland Park and trimming trees, doing yardwoork and painting two homes with Neighborhood Solutions and several other jobs around town. Tonight the crew enjoyed a fun night with a "Tacky Tourist" Dance. Thanks to Missy"s Donuts and Bakery for donating dinner tonight!

We began with worship, then headed out for work projects and a night at the Drive-In. Projects included working at Fogarty, Central, GUES, cleaning up city parts, and painting fences at a local farm. We enjoyed worship music led by the Russell family musicians.

We kicked off Mission Guthrie with a scavenger hunt and block party in downtown Guthrie. Thanks to "Hollow" and "Richelle and Chris" for entertaining at the Block Party.

If you are like my kids you are just now starting to ship and pack for Mission Guthrie. FYI- rooms do have a fridge and microwave. 18 hours away.
