Grace Episcopal Church is excited to announce that we are launching a Spanish-language worship service by the end of this summer.

Spanish-speaking residents are one of the largest and most vibrant demographics in the Muskogee metro area. They are our neighbors, and the Church exists to gather neighbors around the living God. Our beautiful chapel will become the home of this new expression of Anglican worship, filled with new voices, new families, and new faces encountering the same ancient faith we have loved and cherished at Grace for generations.

Worship is outreach. Every time we open our doors, we are saying to the world: there is a place for you here, and the One who made you is worth knowing.
We are deeply grateful to our Wardens, our Vestry, and our Parish Executive Team for their faithful support in making this possible. More details about launch Sunday are coming soon. The table is getting larger.

Bishop Poulson shares a statement regarding the Southern Baptist Convention's decision to advance an amendment to their denominational constitution prohibiting women from serving as pastors.

On June 10, the national meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention (the largest denomination in Oklahoma) voted overwhelmingly to advance an amendment to their denominational constitution prohibiting women from serving as pastors. If approved a second time in 2027, the amendment would be permanently adopted. A number of denominations share this stance, and I believe there are those who hold it sincerely as a matter of conscience and their Biblical interpretation.

Nonetheless, the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma has been and continues to be abundantly blessed by the ministry of women as lay leaders, deacons, and priests. Our wider Episcopal Church, which has ordained women as priests since 1974 and as bishops since 1988, has likewise been blessed by their service and many gifts as leaders and disciples of Jesus.

I give thanks for the many women in ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church, and in other denominations, and for their faithful persistence for the sake of the Gospel.
