Fbc-Gbc Children's Ministry

Fbc-Gbc Children's Ministry The Creek Kids Ministry of FBC is designed to help your child's spiritual growth and social development. During the summer months, they attend RA's and GA's.

With a regular assortment of Bible studies, activities, and games, there is always something to do and somewhere to be. Every Sunday morning, we have Sunday School and Children's Church. During the school year, on Sunday evenings, we have the Awana program. The Awana program encourages Scripture memorization, teaches responsibility and teamwork, and helps children become aware of missions and how

they can serve God. On Wednesday nights, the children have Children's and Preschool Choirs. There is usually a monthly activity scheduled, such as bowling, skating, cook-outs, or camping. Yearly activities include Vacation Bible School (for children age four - sixth grade), Pr***en Camp (for children that have completed third - sixth grade), and the Fall Festival. Join us and see why First Baptist Church is a place for God's little people.

We have been studying the return of the exiles to Jerusalem and the construction of a new temple's foundation. In Children's Church, our 3-5 year olds participated in a hands-on project to facilitate their understanding. Our older group discussed that while many were joyful and enthusiastic, some elderly individuals felt sorrowful and tearful because this temple would not match the grandeur of the original. This concept was related to our current world's brokenness due to sin, but with the promise that upon Jesus' return and gathering of His children, there will be no tears in the perfect new heaven and earth.

What a day of worship- Celebrating 40 years at First Baptist Church Gun Barrel City.

In Sunday School the children learned about Hosea and how his relationship with his wife Gomer is a picture of how God loves us, forgives us and is faithful.

We continued this teaching in Children’s Church by discussing forgiveness In Matthew 18:21-22. To illustrate these verses we counted out 7 pieces of popcorn and 70 pieces of popcorn. Imagine 7 times the seventy pieces! That is forgiveness! What does one do with all that popcorn 🍿 once the illustrationis complete? You eat it, of course!!!

Join us next week when we study “Judah’s Good Kings.”
