Our hearts are with our neighbors in Alabama and Florida whose homes and communities were devastated by Hurricane Isaias. As fellow Gulf Coast residents, we know how overwhelming the days after a storm can be. Please join us in praying for these families. Our ministry partners at Eight Days of Hope are already mobilizing volunteers and resources to provide meals and help with cleanup and recovery.
Meanwhile, our friends and sponsored families in Lempira, Honduras, are facing another devastating crisis. Severe drought has destroyed the crops they depend on for their families' food and for the income they need to buy it. Our longtime partners at Sowers4Pastors report that it is so severe that communities long in need of help combating malnutrition are now facing starvation. Some families have already run out of food, with no way to obtain more.
Please join us helping Sowers4Pastors provide an emergency food response. For a $35 contribution, the ministry can provide families with grocery bags filled with 50 pounds of staples, including beans, rice, enriched corn flour, enriched oatmeal, and sugar. The ministry plans to begin with families in its children’s programs—including those sponsored by Crosspoint—and equip local pastors to reach additional households in need.
