Dear Parents-
It's been an encouraging and beautiful season of recommitment for our church as our Pastors lead us through a series focused on our church covenant. We can also teach our children how to love and protect the unity of Christ's church. The church is made up of imperfect people who have been brought together by the perfect grace of Jesus Christ. There will be times when we disagree, misunderstand one another, or experience hurt feelings. In those moments, we have an opportunity to demonstrate the very Gospel we teach. When we extend to others the same grace Christ has extended to us, we reflect His love and help protect the unity of His church.
As parents, our children are watching how we speak about others, respond to disagreements, and treat fellow believers. When we choose prayer over criticism, forgiveness over bitterness, and humility over pride, we are teaching them that the church is not simply a place we attend—it is a family we are called to love. May we raise a generation that doesn't just attend church, but deeply loves Christ and His church, protecting its unity and extending the grace they have received.
Pray with us:
Father, thank You for the gift of Your church and the grace You have so freely given us through Jesus. Help our family extend that same grace to others. Guard our hearts against pride, bitterness, and division, and teach us to respond with humility, patience, and love. May our words and actions strengthen the unity of Your church, and may our children grow to love and serve Your people faithfully. In Jesus' name, Amen.
