The Prayer-Saturated Church | Not My Will, But Yours 🙏
💭What if the greatest barrier to deeper communion with God is our unwillingness to surrender our own will?

🙏Prayer is more than bringing our requests before the Lord. It is allowing Him to shape our hearts, align our desires with His, and transform us into the image of Christ. When we lay aside our own wants and submit to His will, the Holy Spirit works in us to love others as Jesus loves.

📖May our prayer always be the prayer of Jesus: “Not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

Whatever feels heavy today, bring it to the Lord. He cares about you, and He invites you to place every worry and every burden into His hands.

Yesterday we were reminded by Pastor Owen to rest in Jesus by casting our burdens on the Lord through prayer.
God is inviting us to come to Him with open hearts, without holding anything back. We don’t have to clean up our hearts before we come to Him. We can bring Him what is heavy, trusting Him with our burdens and finding rest in Jesus.
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”
Matthew 11:28–30
