Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Take some time to reflect on the day, honor those who were lost, recognize those who rose in service, and renew the unity and compassion that defined us in the days that followed.

That surge of unity and compassion led to 9/11 Day being created as a national day of service. It is now the largest annual day of charitable service.

Make a plan to find an area in which you can serve today!

Our Servant Ministries team, led by Amelia Fletcher, provided food to first responders in Gulf Shores this week and our MDO Preschool and Gulf Youth decorated thank you posters that were also given to our local first responders.

Our September Communion Offering is supporting our local chapter of the Sew Powerful organization. It is a Christian ministry that exists to employ and empower people to pursue life in all its fullness. They are on a mission to combat extreme poverty in the African country of Zambia.

Sewing purses for schoolgirls in Zambia is the foundation of all their volunteer activities. Your donation helps provide the supplies needed to fill each purse made by our local Sew Powerful chapter, Son Sowers.
