A massage from our pastor:
We suffered major damage to our west wing which is the Nursery/Sunday School building. Some of the roof is completely missing with minor water damage. Our sanctuary suffered moderate damage mainly exterior with several shingles missing and the vinyl siding missing on the front gable. Our Fellowship hall suffered minor damage and is in great condition. Our youth building is perfectly fine! We have a piece of roof hanging over that could be dangerous, please avoid that area as we work to get that cleaned up. I’m thankful for everyone who has helped at the church, helped our congregation in need and helped their neighbors.
Our hearts are to worship King Jesus corporately with the body of Christ. We are hoping circumstances will allow us to gather next Sunday (10-18) for service. We will know more as the days transpire.
There are many in need of help, if you’re able lend a helping hand to your neighbor. There has been devastating damage to many properties in our community. Now is a great time to share the great love and wonderful grace of Christ and to be the hands and feet of Jesus! If you have a need please let me know and I’ll utilize any resources that may be available.
There is a great song that comes to my mind, “So I thank God for the mountains
And I thank Him for the valleys
And I thank Him for the storms He's brought me through
For if I'd ever had a problem
I'd never know that God could solve them
I'd never know what faith in God could do
That's the reason I say that
Through it all
I've learned to trust in Jesus
I've learned to trust in God
