Sexton/Custodian - Part-Time Position
Start Date: June 1, 2026 [or sooner]
Hours: 14 hours per week (Year-round)
Position Summary:
The Sexton is responsible for the cleanliness and general maintenance of the church interior, along with light exterior upkeep. We are looking for a reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for our congregation and community.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Cleaning: Maintain the sanctuary, offices, classrooms, and fellowship hall.
Grounds Upkeep: Keep exterior drains, doorways, and walkways clear of debris.
Event Support: Provide flexible and reliable cleaning/resetting of the building following scheduled events.
Collaboration: Work effectively alongside office staff and church committees.
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb steps and ladders; bend, pull, push, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Knowledge: Familiarity with standard housekeeping and maintenance supplies.
