As we enter Holy Week, Shepherd by the Sea invites you to attend our services at 10 am at 38958 Cypress Way, in Gualala. Sunday, March 29th, is Palm Sunday, the Sunday of the Passion. We wave palms in celebration as Christ comes into our midst, and we follow in trepidation as his path leads to death on the cross. Pastor John Freesemann will preside at Shepherd by the Sea Episcopal-Lutheran Mission in Gualala at our March 29th Palm Sunday 10 am service with holy communion. We will celebrate Christ's entrance into Jerusalem with songs and a procession with palms into the sanctuary. Coffee and refreshments follow the service. All are welcome to join us!
On Holy Saturday, April 4th, an evening Taizé service will begin at 5 pm. Taizé prayer services are comprised of silence and song, candlelight and stillness, prayer and contemplation. On Easter Sunday, April 5, both of our advising clergy, the Rev. Dr. Portia Hopkins, and the Rev. Dr. Moses Penumaka will conduct a joyful joint service, at 10 am with Sue Bohlin leading the choir. A potluck lunch will follow the service. All are welcome to these events.
