He Does All Things Well
Scripture: Mark 7:37 (ESV) "And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, 'He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.'"

Devotional
Those simple words echo all the way back to creation.
When God finished creating the world, He declared it good.
Sin shattered that perfection.
But every miracle Jesus performed was a glimpse of restoration.
Each blind eye opened.
Each lame person walking.
Each sinner forgiven.
Each life transformed.
Every miracle announced that the King had come to begin making all things new.
Sometimes we struggle to understand God's timing.
We pray.
We wait.
We wonder.
Yet even when we cannot see His purpose, His character never changes.

Romans 8:28 (ESV) reminds us, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

Why?
Because the One who works all things together for good is the same Savior who does all things well.
One day, Christ will complete what He began, and all creation will be fully restored.
Until then, we trust His heart even when we cannot trace His hand.

Reflect
Where do I need to trust that Jesus is still working?
How has Christ already demonstrated His faithfulness in my life?
Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You that You always do what is right, wise, and good. Strengthen my faith to trust You even when I cannot see the whole picture. Help me live with confidence that You are making all things new. Amen.

Jesus Feels the Weight of Our Brokenness
Scripture: Mark 7:34 (ESV) "And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, 'Ephphatha,' that is, 'Be opened.'"
Devotional
That sigh speaks volumes.
Jesus wasn't frustrated with the man.
He was grieving what sin had done to creation.
Every disease.
Every disability.
Every funeral.
Every broken relationship.
Every grave.
None of these were part of God's original design.
When Jesus sighed, He demonstrated that He doesn't merely observe our suffering.
He enters it.
Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). Jesus fulfilled that promise.
Even more remarkable, the One who opened this man's mouth would later remain silent before His accusers.
The One who healed others would willingly suffer for sinners.
He took our judgment so we could receive His grace.

Reflect
Am I remembering that Jesus truly understands my suffering?
Have I thanked Him for bearing my sin at the cross?
Prayer

Jesus, thank You for carrying my grief and taking my judgment upon Yourself. Help me remember that You are never indifferent to my pain. Amen.

What does it mean to have faith? Christianity is not a club that someone joins. It is a relationship with Jesus that changes your life, and we enter that relationship through faith.

There Are No "Too's" With Jesus
Scripture: John 1:12 (ESV)"But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

Devotional
Many people live imprisoned by one small word:
"Too."
I'm too sinful.
Too broken.
Too ashamed.
Too addicted.
Too old.
Too far gone.
The deaf man brought nothing impressive to Jesus.
No achievements.
No arguments.
No qualifications.
Only need.

And that was enough.
Grace has never been reserved for people who have everything together.
Grace is for people who know they don't.
The cross declares that no sin is greater than Christ's sacrifice and no sinner is beyond His invitation.
There are no "too's" with Jesus.

Reflect
Which "too" has been keeping me from fully trusting Christ?
What would it look like to surrender that lie today?
Prayer

Father, thank You that Your grace is greater than my failures. Help me stop believing the lies that say I'm beyond Your love. Teach me to rest in Your mercy. Amen.

Jesus Meets Us Where We Are
Scripture: Mark 7:33-34 (ESV)

"And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, 'Ephphatha,' that is, 'Be opened.'"

Devotional
Jesus didn't heal this man from a distance.
He took him away from the crowd.
Imagine spending your entire life unable to hear conversations around you. Unable to communicate normally. Often misunderstood. Frequently overlooked.
Jesus refuses to turn this man into a public spectacle.
Instead, He communicates in a language the man could understand.
Touch.
Eye contact.
Compassion.
Every movement assured him, "I know exactly where you are."
That is the heart of the Gospel.
God didn't wait for us to figure out how to reach Him.
He stepped into our world.

John 1:14 (ESV) says, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
Jesus entered our brokenness so He could rescue us from it.
No matter where you are today, Christ already understands your pain.

Reflect
Have I forgotten that Jesus understands exactly where I am?
What burden have I been trying to carry alone?
Prayer

Father, thank You that You never ask me to find my way to You on my own. Thank You for coming into my broken world through Jesus. Help me trust Your compassion today. Amen.

It all begins this Sunday evening, July 12! We are so excited for an incredible week filled with fun, friendships, new skills, and opportunities to grow in our faith.

🎭 Music & Drama Camp (Main Sanctuary 5:30-8)
🏓 Pickleball Camp (Youth Center across the creek 5:30-8)

Plus, Youth & Adults are invited to join us for our Pickleball Camp!
There is absolutely NO COST for any of our camps or activities. Thanks to the generosity of so many people, everything is provided free of charge.
