God did not wake up surprised about all that is going on in this world! He is fully aware and in full control! As a matter of fact, He gave us a heads up many, many years ago. It's written in His Word.
2Timothy 3:1-5 "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"
This verse adequately describes what we are seeing broadcast on the news! God did not leave us defenseless, He gave us weapons for our warfare that are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. (2Corinthians 10:4) Our weapons are the Word of God and prayer! In our recent travels, I saw, "God answers knee mail!" written on a church marquis. It was a great reminder that I am most powerful when I am on my knees! I can't think of a time when Christians needed to be on their knees asking for God's intervention more than now! He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think! Let's commit ourselves to prayer for our President, nation, and world!
