"It wasn't a church-shaped void at all. It was a Jesus-shaped void — and a Spirit-shaped void."

Have you ever gone searching for something, only to realize you were looking for the wrong thing entirely?

Our speaker from February 22 shared her own honest journey — from church-hopping as a college student, to building a checklist as a busy working mother, trying to find the perfect congregation to fill an aching emptiness.

It wasn't working.

Then one night, God met her in a dream and showed her the truth:

She wasn't looking for a church.

She was looking for Jesus.

When she finally stepped into these waters, she came differently. Not looking for a social group or a program — but ready for transformation.

"I prayed that I would never grow complacent in my relationship with God. That I would always trust that I am beloved. And that I would never stop seeking Him."

Maybe you've been there too. Skimming the surface. Hoping the right community or the right routine would fix what only God could heal.

The void has a name — and He is faithful to fill it.

You are loved beyond measure.

God is not finished with you yet.

Every day, you are invited to say yes.

Say yes to new life.

"God moves in our lives when we faithfully question in our search for God."

Have you ever been afraid to ask God for something — because you didn't feel worthy enough to ask?

Sometimes the Spirit moves in unexpected places.

Our speaker shared a remarkable testimony: while searching for the right person to serve as treasurer for Restoration Plaza — Community of Christ's affordable housing ministry in Columbus — he and his wife stopped at an Arby's in Circleville during a road trip. As they pulled in, another car was maneuvering for the same spot.

It was the exact person he'd been praying about.

Two cars, traveling from opposite directions, meeting by chance in a parking lot. She said yes shortly after.

That's the Holy Spirit at work.

Not waiting for us to have it all figured out. Meeting us right in the middle of our questions.

This Sunday we explored the story of Nicodemus — a respected religious leader who came to Jesus in the dark of night, full of wonder and uncertainty.

Jesus didn't turn him away. He invited him deeper: "God's spirit blows wherever it wishes… It's the same with everyone who is born of the spirit." (John 3, CEB)

Being born anew isn't about having all the answers.

It's about showing up — honestly, openly, faithfully — and trusting that the Spirit will meet you there.

We also celebrated nine newly baptized members receiving their first communion.

What a beautiful reminder that the Beloved Community continues to grow.

Bring your questions.

Trust the Spirit.

Be born anew.
