Does your faith save you? Or does Jesus?

For many of us, faith was presented like a spiritual payment system:
“If you can believe enough, trust enough, hold on tight enough… then God will save you.”

But the gospel tells a different story.

Jesus saves.

Faith is not the cause of salvation—it’s our response to the faithfulness of Jesus.

We are not saved by the strength of our belief, but by the strength of his love, his life, his death, and his resurrection.

Faith is not earning.
Faith is awakening.
Faith is trusting what Christ has already done.

What if every act of goodness, compassion, mercy, creativity, beauty, and selfless love is actually flowing from a deeper Source?

In my message tomorrow, I'll explore the surprising idea that people are often participating in God’s restoration project long before they realize it. The Great Commission isn’t about creating goodness where none exists—it’s about helping people recognize, connect to, and participate more deeply in the Source of all goodness revealed in Jesus.

This sermon reframes discipleship, mission, and evangelism through a deeply hopeful lens: God is already at work in the world, and Jesus shows us where that goodness comes from.

***WHAT IF WORSHIP ISN'T FOR GOD...BUT FOR US ?***

Tomorrow we’re asking a question a lot of people have quietly wondered:

Why worship?

I mean… if God is already complete, fully sufficient, and doesn’t need anything… then why does he ask for worship? Is it to stroke some divine ego?

What if worship isn’t actually for God… but for us?

What if worship is less about feeding God’s need for attention and more about awakening us to reality?

Because whatever we behold, we become.

Worship re-centers us.
Reorients us.
Reminds us who God really is… and who we really are in Him.

God doesn’t need worship.
But we need to encounter the goodness, beauty, love, and presence of God.

And when we do… it changes us.

Tomorrow we’re talking about why worship matters—and why it may be one of the most life-giving things a human being can experience.
