All Man... Yet, All God...
God Gets You!

God Gets You! You and I have a lot in common. We have stumbled in life - in morality, honesty, integrity. We have done our best, only to trip and fall. Our finest efforts have left us flat on our backs. We have broken hearts, weary spirits, and fading vision. The distance between where we are and where we want to be is impassable. So what do we do? Where do we turn?
I suggest we turn to one of the sweetest promises God has ever given us: “For our high priest [Jesus] is able to understand our weaknesses” (Hebrews 4:15).
God became flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. He was miraculously conceived, yet naturally delivered. He was born… yet born of a virgin. Jesus was both - God and man at the same time - and we have the best of both worlds. Neither His humanity nor deity compromised. He was fully human. He was fully divine. Because of the first, we draw near. Because of the latter, we worship.
This promise matters! If you’ve ever wondered whether God understands or listens to you, He does. The one who hears your prayers understands your pain. He never shrugs or scoffs or dismisses physical struggle. He had a human body. He gets you.
He was so human He could touch people. So mighty He could heal them. So human He spoke with an accent. So heavenly He spoke with authority. So human He could blend in unnoticed for thirty years. So mighty He could change history and be unforgotten for 2,000 years.

Let’s Pray: Almighty God, thank you! I am so blessed that you understand me and you know all that I go through. Please continue to give me strength as I endure this life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Memorial Day, 2026
There are thousands of heroic stories that can be shared on or around Memorial Day. These are stories of lives cut short and families losing spouses, siblings, children, and parents. The losses have been enormous, and the freedom that has been preserved is priceless.
Think with me for a moment… how can we best remember those who have given their lives for our continued freedom? Jesus said, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13). How can we honor the sacrifices that continue to be made?
Our freedom has come at a high price, so let’s not waste it to only seeking our own interests. We can use our freedom as an opportunity to bless and serve others rather than using it to gratify our own desires. The freedom we enjoy was not purchased with gold or silver but with the blood, sweat, and tears of the ones that we honor today. They died so that we might live!
There was one who came down from heaven too, God, who put on human flesh, became one of us and gave His life for all of us. While we were dead in our sins, He gave His life for us. He was without sin, and He took the judgment of God on our behalf. Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly. We are no longer bound by sin, but we are servants of God who have been set free to live lives that honor Him and bring peace with God to the world. It was the shedding of the blood of Jesus that won our salvation and His resurrection that sealed the deal, is giving us hope for the life to come!
There is no greater love than sacrificial love. We honor the ones who gave their lives, so that we have the freedom to proclaim the love of God found in Christ Jesus!

Let’s Pray: Father God, thank you for those who have given all so that we can live in freedom today. Help us not to take our freedom lightly, but that we might proclaim your love to all those around us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

1 Corinthians 6:19, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”

The Holy Spirit:
Reveals truth – about God, yourself, and the world around you.
Produces fruit in our lives like “love, joy, peace, patience, and more,
Gives supernatural gifts like wisdom, healing, and prophecy
Strengthens us to overcome sin and live according to God’s will

God says I am ... a temple of the Holy Spirit.
In any great adventure, there’s always a first step. Maybe it feels more like a big leap, it’s okay, that’s normal. You’re letting go of what’s familiar and stepping into something brand new. One of the biggest leaps you’ll take as a Christian is believing this truth: God’s power lives inside you.
That power is the Holy Spirit – God’s own Spirit! God sent His Spirit to dwell in you the moment you put your faith in Jesus!
Jesus promised, after His victory over sin and death, that He would send the Holy Spirit to be with us and in us.
The Holy Spirit helps us in so many ways. He reveals truth, produces fruit, gives supernatural gifts, and He strengthens us to overcome sin and live in God’s Will. Without the Holy Spirit, you simply cannot live the life God has planned for you. But with Him, you become God’s living temple - His presence no longer contained within four walls of a church, but in you!
This is not just a one-time experience - it’s an ongoing relationship. The only price you pay is surrender, obedience, and a heart open to God’s voice.

Let’s Pray: Dear Lord, thank you for loving us so much. I want to be a temple of your Holy Spirit. Help me understand this gift more. Teach me to walk with You each day and increase my faith so I can overcome fear and live with boldness. Use me for Your purpose and glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
