Today we were blessed to have 3 genertations of the Liu family ,Winnie was on piano behind them. They sang in more than English to highlight and celebrate the arches that bring us together. Of course it paired beautifully with the sermon.

Today we celebrated our prayer shawl ministry. After the piano and flute duet by pastor and her sister to honor their mom, the pastor blessed the shawls and joyfully shared that the one thousand, six hundred and forty second shawl had been given out this week.

An update for April/May.
Good Day All,
We are progressing toward restoration for both the Church building and our congregation. In terms of defying the odds, we were able to grow our congregation this spring and continue to come together every Sunday. As you look at the pictures, we have all been reminded of our past and how honored we are to carry on the traditions built from the original tiles through layers of paint and binding the old building with the new.

Though the halls are bare and quiet, the spirit of the work continues. Our Pastor has adjusted to her temporary office space with the grace and resilience we strive to follow.
The ability to transcend the physical bones of the church and lift us all to seeing a light at the end of this test. Her leadership provides us with quiet strength .We continue on a path of the unknown through faith, toward the celebration of total restoration. There will be cake!

Our next steps include, supporting the pop up craft and bake sale on May 9th, conducting walkthroughs with prospective contractors, working in committees and council meetings on behalf of the congregation to move forward. As we do, we will continue to forge alliances, ask for help and rely on our faith and community to be the church.

In keeping with our sheep theme today was Heifer International day. Our kids made donation envelopes and keychains with some of the animals they are raising money for to feed families around the world. They created a little marketplace in the sanctuary and greeted everyone that came up to support them. Job well done.

Today our theme was sheep. How individual sheep are intelligent, empathetic and loyal, they recognize and respond to their shepherd. As a flock they move together, work together and care for one another. We are a fortunate congregation who had the honor of welcoming a new member to our flock. Led and blessed by our shepherd Pastor we extended The Right Hand of Fellowship, presented her with a certificate, a prayer shawl and the most decadent gourmet cupcake ever. Welcome Connie Fraser.

Come down and support us as we try to rebuild our church from the winter water damage. This outside sale means the world to us and for now takes the place of our Annual Tag Sale that we relied on.
