Sometimes the biggest change isn’t around us it’s within us.

I sat down with an open Bible, an empty journal, and a heart that needed time with God. I got up with pages full of His Word, reminders of His faithfulness, and truth to carry with me into the day.

Time with God doesn’t always change what you’re facing, but His Word can change how you walk through it. 🤍

What if the change you’re praying for isn’t around you but within you?

Jeremiah 44 reminded me that the people changed their location, but they carried the same disobedience with them. Sometimes we’re asking God to change our circumstances while He’s wanting to do a deeper work in our hearts.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart.” Psalm 139:23

Jeremiah 43 reminded me how easy it is to ask God for direction while already having our own answer in mind.

The people asked God what they should do and promised they would obey but when He told them to stay in Judah, fear took over. Egypt looked safer, so they went anyway. But the very thing they were trying to escape eventually followed them there.

Sometimes God’s direction won’t look like the safest or easiest option. It may not even make sense to us at first. But we don’t need God to simply bless the plans we’ve already made we need hearts willing to follow His.

More Than a Conqueror.

Romans 8 reminds us that being “more than conquerors” doesn’t mean we never face hardship. In fact, Paul lists trials, persecution, and suffering before declaring that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us.

Our confidence isn’t in a trouble-free life—it’s in the unchanging love of Jesus. Whatever you’re walking through today, hold on to this truth: nothing can separate you from His love.

As everyone gathered around to sing “Happy Birthday,” I couldn’t help but think about the little boy who made me a mom.

It’s amazing how quickly the years pass. The little moments that once felt ordinary become the ones we wish we could relive.

Today reminded me to thank God for every season for the scraped knees, bedtime stories, laughter around the table, and the privilege of watching my son grow. These are the moments that truly make life abundant.

Happy 10th Birthday, Nate. You’ll always be my little boy. 🤍
