WELCOME to worship on the SECOND SUNDAY of PENTECOST (Jun 7) which emphasizes through the books of Romans and Genesis, and frame the Gospel as one more chapter in the long story of a God worthy of trusting. Holy Communion will be celebrated at the 930 pm service; Sunday School begins at 930 am; Adult bible class starts at 830 am
PREPARE prayerfully and read the appointed lessons for this Sunday's service:
The OLD TESTAMENT lesson: Hosea 5.15-6.6: "For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings."
The EPISTLE lesson; Romans 4.13-25: "It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead."
The GOSPEL lesson: Matthew 9.9-13: "For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
and PSALM 119.65-72: "It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes."
