Lauren Loper is our next senior to be highlighted! Lauren is graduating from Grosse Pointe North High School. Lauren is planning on attending Michigan State University in the fall to double major in Chemistry and Criminal Justice, and minoring in a foreign language (probably Spanish, but she isn't completely sure yet).

Lauren's favorite Bible verse is 1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Lauren's favorite people in the Bible are Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego because of their boldness and willingness to face whatever challenged their faith. Lauren mentioned she also really liked the talking donkey in Numbers 22!

Lauren's favorite hobbies include reading, playing and listening to music, photography, traveling, trying different matcha drinks, and swimming.

Lauren's favorite memory at Crosspointe came from bonding with the group who went on the wilderness trip because they got to know each other really well. She mentioned that their group faced a lot of challenges together and had to rely on the Lord and each other to get through them. Lauren mentioned that one of her other favorite memories was when she and Leanna (class of 2025) tried to work on the skate ramp while in Portugal!

Our next senior to highlight is Elena Huebner! Elena is graduating from Grosse Pointe South High School and is planning on attending Boston College in the fall to pursue a major in Mathematics!

Today we have a double feature for senior highlights! Our first senior highlight for today is Wyatt Harrison! Wyatt is graduating from Lakeview High School and is planning on attending the College for Creative Studies to pursue a career in Automotive Design!

We asked Wyatt what his favorite Bible verse is and he said Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." His favorite person in the Bible is Samson because even at his lowest point, he put his faith in God to help find the strength to overcome adversity.

Wyatt's favorite hobbies are drawing and sketching, building creations with Legos, anything Star Wars, soccer, and video games.

Wyatt's favorite memories come from the Algonquin trip, specifically when he forgot his food at Algonquin.

This Sunday is Graduate Recognition Sunday! As we prepare for that, we are going to take the time this week to highlight each of our high school seniors!

Our first senior is Claire Coplen! Claire is graduating from Faith Christian School. Claire plans to attend Cornerstone University and be part of their women's soccer team in the fall!

We asked Claire what her favorite Bible verse was and she said 1 John 4:15-16 "Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him."

Claire's favorite person in the Bible is Paul because he is so real with how he wrote, and he had such an amazing story showing that anyone at any time can come to Jesus. Claire also mentioned that she likes Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego because of the Veggie Tales movie on them.

Claire's favorite serious memory from her time at Crosspointe was going on the mission trips because her eyes were opened to look beyond where she lives and loved being able to witness people helping others and sharing the gospel. Her favorite silly memory is when she got donuts during the Tennessee trip or when she needed rolls (IYKYK).
