• Jesus as the fulfillment, embodied every aspect of the sacrifices in the O. T.
• He became not a sacrifice to roll our sins forward, but to pay the price for our sin once and for all.
• He did not come to this earth to make the Father known or to bring the heart of the law to view just so we could say we believe and continue to live as the flesh and culture around us do.
• He came;
o Romans 6:15–18 (NIV)
o 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
o He came because;
o John 10:10 (NIV)
o 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
o Observe and live faithfully and faithfully teach your children.
o Children listen and honor your parents!
o Ephesians 6:1–4 (NIV)
o Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
o 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
