Thank you to everyone who helped make July’s Suds of Love possible.

This month, 16 guests representing 32 household members completed 69 loads of laundry. In addition, 38 vouchers were distributed to 29 individuals for continued support.

On a very hot evening, volunteers offered not only laundry assistance, but cold water, welcome, and steady care.

The next gathering will be Wednesday, August 26, and will also include hygiene care kit distribution.

Suds of Love is a free laundry night for the Grinnell community — no strings attached.

Bring your laundry to Maytag Laundry & Tanning, 805 West St. in Grinnell, on the last Wednesday of the month from 4–7 PM. Laundry soap is provided.

Upcoming dates:

July 29
August 26 — Care Kit Night
September 30
October 28
November 18 — Care Kit Night
*early due to Thanksgiving*
December 30
January 27

All are welcome. Come as you are, bring what you need washed, and let us take care of the rest. 🤍

Free laundry. Community care. No strings attached.

Join us tonight for free laundry, free hygiene kits (while supplies last), and laundry vouchers to help cover our June pause.

If you've been meaning to come, tonight is a great night.

We're at Maytag Laundry in Grinnell now through 7pm offering free laundry support.
