Welcome to our First Wednesday Prayer!

02/19/2026

While visiting the White House, Bishop Scotty Poole took a moment pray.

No matter the setting, our calling remains the same. We are people of prayer. We believe God moves when His people seek Him. Scripture reminds us to pray “for kings and all who are in authority,”

May we never stop lifting up our country and those who lead it. Prayer is not our last resort. It is our first response.

I know that we do not have any CH churches in this area, but I want all of our CH pastors to read what this great Christian leader wrote about the “small church.” There is nothing small when God is involved. You are doing Kingdom work and it is extremely important. Be encouraged as you faithfully serve the Lord.

Thank you all for the willingness to serve. Denna and I love you all.

Hey small church pastor in the Coachella Valley area.

If you are a small church—under 100 in weekly attendance—and you'd like a Sunday morning off, I'm offering to preach this Sunday morning.

You can't pay me anything, but I come bearing gifts. I will provide a full year of Logos Bible Study Platform Pro as a gift from them—they are partnering with me to elevate and serve small churches. (More on that later!)

A reminder that the median size of a U.S. church is 60-65 people, so what we call a small church is actually a normal church.

It think it is important for all of us to remember that small churches are being used in big ways, just like we'd expect when we reflect on how the Kingdom of God is like yeast mixed into flower.

Small things lead to big change, and I take Sundays like this to remind myself of this, but then I love writing up a story about my visit, to tell the story of yet another small church making a kingdom impact!

I am driving to Phoenix to speak at , and decided to leave early Sunday, so I can get your way if you are near I-10.

So, if you'd like to have a guest speaker, please DM on Twitter. (Sorry, but I need one inbox for this, and my Twitter DMs are open.)

In recent days, our country and the Christian community have experienced another unfortunate event. I found myself feeling much like Utah Governor Spencer Cox when he said, I’ve been as angry and as sad as I have every been over the past 48 hrs. Also, like Governor Cox what helps me gather a correct perspective is how would Charlie Kirk say we need to handle this and even more important how Would Jesus expect us to respond? It is a matter of Good and evil, and we receive our direction from the Bible on how this battle is to be handled. Our battles must be fought through prayer, faith, and action.

On Wednesday, September 10 it appeared that evil overcome Good on this day with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk a leading young voice for conservatives, but more than that he was a young Christian leader standing firm for Biblical Christin values. His voice was resounding within our culture and making a definite impact on combating anti-Christian values. Evil thought it had silenced this voice, but the voice for Good will grow stronger and louder by those that Charlie impacted and are encouraged to carry on the message of strong prevailing Christian values for our nation and culture. May we all learn from Charlie to be willing to face our culture with unwavering faith that does not dismiss those with differing opinions but rather takes time to hear and reason with those opinions while “contending for the faith once delivered” Jude1:3 just as Charlie did. Good will prevail because many will take up the mantle that Charlie carried to continue to contend for the faith.

We must denounce evil, champion good, and pray for everyone. I believe that Charlie Kirk did just this. Our prayers are with the Kirk family during their time of loss, as well as the family of the shooter and the shooter himself. We also prayer for our nation that we will strive do that that is Good and not give evil a space to grow or work.

May we all show and stand for Jesus Christ every day.

Romans 5:20-21
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

“The Bible says for you to follow Jesus not Jesus to follow you.”

It was an incredible honor to preach at North Georgia District’s 100th Camp Meeting on Saturday night. The evening was truly powerful, and being back in my home district made it even more special. I want to express my gratitude to Superintendent Terron Gentry and the entire presbytery for inviting me to minister tonight.

It was great being with Bishop Truelove and Bishop Bartee at the IPCC Camp Meeting. Powerful word from Bishop Clardy on fulfilling the Great Commission. Wonderful prayer and fellowship followed the service.
