This Sunday we will finish our journey through the book of Exodus.

What a kindness from God to spend months watching him redeem a people, dwell among a people, and patiently shape a people for his glory. Exodus has reminded us that the God who saves is also the God who sanctifies—and that his presence is our greatest good.

If you’ve been with us through the series, come celebrate God’s faithfulness in his Word. If you’ve missed parts along the way, this is still a wonderful Sunday to join us.

By God’s grace: 2 books down, 64 to go. We’ve finished 1 Peter, and now Exodus. Lord willing, we’ll keep opening the Scriptures together, one book at a time.

Come join us this Sunday. There is no better way to spend the Lord’s Day than gathered with God’s people under God’s Word.

The McIntosh replant is a sweet reminder that Christ designed his church to be multi-generational. God, in his wisdom, uses believers of every age and stage of life to strengthen one another and build up his church. It has been a joy to see older saints, younger families, and children growing together at McIntosh Baptist Church. We are grateful for the Lord’s kindness in allowing us to see this take shape among us.

You know, sweet fellowship through the church was won for all believers at the cross. So this weekend, we rejoiced in that gift by camping together. We are thankful for the memories we made—singing hymns, opening God’s Word, and enjoying fellowship with one another.

God gives good gifts, and this is surely one of them. Praise God for the work He is doing yet again at McIntosh Baptist Church. We look forward to even more sweet fellowship in the years to come.

About this time last year, the Lord kindly provided McIntosh Baptist Church with a godly muralist who helped cover our children’s hallways with scenes from Little Pilgrim's Progress. We wanted our children to grow up seeing, week after week, that the Christian life is a journey—that sin is a burden too heavy to carry, and that the only place to lose that burden is at the cross of Christ.

In the Lord’s providence, a supporter connected with the illustrator of the book, and we have received a signed copy from him. Small kindnesses like this have a way of reminding us that God is always at work far beyond what we can see. He works beyond the walls of a church building, across friendships and conversations we never planned, and—most importantly—in the hearts of children who are learning to look to Christ.

Pray that the Lord would use even these simple murals, and this little book, to help raise up pilgrims who persevere all the way to the Celestial City.

Our church has a High Priest, his name is Jesus! Tomorrow we’ll study Book of Exodus and the institution of the priesthood in Israel.

These chapters remind us that sinful people need a mediator to approach a holy God—and that every priest in the Old Testament ultimately pointed forward to Christ.

Jesus is our true and final High Priest. Praise the Lord!

If you do not have a church home, we would love to have you join us tomorrow as we worship together and open God’s Word.

Many people have been around church their whole lives.

They know the language.
They’ve heard the sermons.
They’ve been in the room.

And yet—it’s possible to be around the church and still miss Jesus. Not because the message isn’t true, but because familiarity can dull what should awaken us.

However, God has not designed the church to be a place where people simply attend. He has designed it to be a people through whom the gospel is seen, heard, and believed.

Join us tonight as we consider how God has designed the church to help people truly know Jesus.

This Sunday, we’ll be singing “Show Us Christ.” Why? Because we’re beginning to consider the tabernacle together. And from the outset, we want to be clear about what we’re looking for. The tabernacle is not an end in itself. It is God’s way of teaching his people—through structure, sacrifice, and symbols—how to look for the One to come. We’re convinced it points to Jesus!

So this song is our prayer: that as we open God’s Word, he would not leave us with shadows, but lead us to the substance. That he would show us Christ.

Join us this Sunday to sing, to hear the Scriptures, and to consider what God has revealed. All are invited.

There will be no McIntosh Midweek tonight.

From time to time, it is good for us not to gather at the church building, so that we remember the church is not a place we go, but a people we are. So take this fifth Wednesday to slow down and make room for fellowship and gospel ministry beyond our walls.

Open your home. Share a meal. Invite a neighbor, a member, or someone who does not yet know the Lord. Encourage one another, and look for opportunities to speak of Christ.

Even make space for the other good things God may be calling you to—rest, prayer, unhurried time with family, and intentional conversations.

We look forward to gathering again Sunday.

This Sunday we will gather as a church and take the Lord’s Supper together.

As we do, we will be reminded—again and deliberately—that our hope before God is not in our obedience, our sincerity, or our religious effort, but in the covenant made for us in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The sermon, “Free in Covenant” from Exodus 23:20–24:18, will point us to the Lord’s gracious initiative in redeeming a people for Himself and binding them to Himself in covenant love. At Sinai, God spoke, and blood was shed; in Christ, what was promised there is fulfilled and secured once for all.

So we come to the Table this Sunday not as those trying to earn favor, but as those who have been brought near by grace—fed by Christ, and reminded that we belong to Him and one another.
