After a fun weekend in Journey Kids, we asked one of our 4-year-olds what she learns about God at church. Here's what she told us. 😀

God is kind.
God "make" creations.
God answers our prayers.

One of the things we love most about our church family is how generous you all are. Case in point: last weekend, our Refugee Serve Team asked for garden veggie donations they could pass along to families in the community.

In one morning, you all filled two tables with zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, potatoes. And, the Refugee Serve Team dropped them off with families within 24 hours. 🥔 🥒 🍅

Thanks to everyone who shared their garden abundance!

🍎 📚 Today, we had the joy of hosting 61 first-year Gretna Public Schools teachers and their mentor teachers for breakfast.

From our first Sunday gathering in 2009 until our building construction was completed in 2022, Gretna Public Schools opened their buildings for Journey Church to gather in. Now, supporting teachers is one way we give back to our community, and we love doing it!

To all the teachers gearing up for another school year: thank you for serving our kids and our community. We're at your back, and we're cheering you on! 🍏 🎒

🎉 JRNY Students is BACK for 2026–2027!

JRNY Students is a community for 6th–12th graders to be known, welcomed, and challenged to grow. Expect relevant teaching, real conversations, worship, and a whole lot of fun, all in a space designed to help you make your faith your own.

📅 This Year's Schedule:
🔹 JRNY MIDDLE (6th–8th)—Sundays, 6–7:30 pm
🔹 JRNY HIGH (9th–12th)—Wednesdays, 7–8:30 pm

🚀 KICKOFF DATES
✨ JRNY Middle kicks off with Paint the Sky on Sunday, August 16 (6–7:30 pm) and regular Sunday meetings resume August 30.
✨ JRNY High kicks off Wednesday, August 26 (7–8:30 pm)!
