Freedom always comes with a cost.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything so that others could live free.

Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never cheap—it is purchased through courage, service, and selfless love.

At B-Free, we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy as a nation, and we are also reminded that true freedom is found in Christ. As we remember those who gave their lives for our country, may we never take their sacrifice for granted.

Today we remember. Today we honor. Today we give thanks.

When you feel triggered, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained… pause before you react. 💙

• Take one deep breath
• Drink some water
• Walk away for a minute
• Pray before responding
• Put on worship music
• Text someone safe
• Rest instead of overthinking
• Remind yourself: “I don’t have to stay stuck here.”

Small steps still matter.

B-Free is here — you’re not struggling alone.
Faith makes freedom possible. 💙

In the book of Ruth, when Naomi returns to her people, she tells people to call her "Mara" moving forward. She let the hardships of her life change how she saw herself. She didn't think things could get better for her. She had already decided how life would be for her from then on. In spite of this, we don't see where anyone ever refers to her as Mara. Perhaps some did, but the people that were important in her life still referred to her as Naomi. They didn't see her differently after her hardships, after what some would call her "crawling back home."

Then God uses Ruth. Ruth lets Naomi know that she is there for Naomi through the good and the bad, whatever they may come across. Ruth shows her love, faithfulness, and eventually hope. Ruth provided for Naomi through her marriage to Boas. Naomi was continually cared for, provided for, and even got to see her son's lineage continued. God provided for her and blessed her in spite of her giving up previously, even in spite of what she thought of herself.

If you feel like giving up, like hope is lost, or like God is finished with you, remember Naomi.

Here’s something to prayerfully think about…

Addiction isn’t always about substances.
Sometimes it’s the things we turn to instead of turning to God when something deeper is going on inside.

The average person spends about 2–3 hours a day on social media—that adds up to nearly 5 years of our lives. 🤔

And while it may seem harmless, too much of it can quietly affect our hearts—impacting our peace, our sleep, and even how we see ourselves.

But here’s the good news…
God is always inviting us into something better.

Instead of reaching for our phones, what if we paused and reached for Him?

Here are a few simple, soul-filling ways to do just that… 💛

• Talk to God… He’s always listening
• Take a walk or bike ride and clear your mind
• Work in the garden and slow down
• Walk your dog and enjoy the moment
• Put your feet up and read something life-giving
• Take a relaxing bath and rest
• Sit quietly and breathe—let God settle your heart
• Reach out to someone who matters to you
• Step outside and take in His creation
• Write your thoughts and prayers in a journal
