Wanna know what I love most about Trail Life USA?

At TLUSA, we know that boys will be boys. It doesn’t matter what restrictions you put on them, they will always push the limit. Boys are meant to wrestle and tumble. Boys need to walk barefoot and jump into creeks. Boys like fashioning sticks to look like guns so that they can play cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Boys like danger. They like taking risks.

At TLUSA, we don’t just know this, we encourage it. We build on it. We let boys be boys and we teach them how to be men. The world needs more men. The world needs more Godly men. The world needs manly men. Men need to be encouraged to be men again.

For those of you in our troop who have not heard the news, our Point Man, Darrell Hewett, passed away this past Saturday. Below are the details for the services. If you plan to attend either the visitation and/or funeral, the family has asked that you wear your Trail Life uniform (if you have one).

Darrell Everett Hewett, 69, entered the Church Triumphant and took hold of the hand of Jesus on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Darrell was born October 2, 1953 in Salisbury, NC to parents, the late Ruby Lois Harwood Hewett and John Burgwin Hewett. Darrell was a graduate of North Carolina State University....

Just learned that one of our Trail Life brothers passed away suddenly. We are all saddened and broken hearted. Over the last 4 years, the men of Trail Life have become family…a Band of Brothers.
