Let’s raise awareness and use our platforms to help people!

* Genesis 1:26–27 (NKJV) — Created in God’s Image
“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…’ So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Application of biblical truth: Human value begins with God. Every person bears the image of God and therefore possesses God-given dignity and worth.
* Psalm 139:13–14 (NKJV) — Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”
Application of biblical truth: We are not accidents. God is intimately involved in our creation. Your life is one of His marvelous works.

Join us for the “Good Grief Series” starting Thursday September 17, 2026. It’s going to be life changing!
Grief is the natural emotional, physical, relational, mental, and spiritual response to a significant loss or life-changing transition.
Grief is the total collection of reactions we experience following significant loss. Therefore, grief should be understood as a journey rather than a single event.
Simply stated, grief is the process of adjusting to a life that has been changed by loss. It is the heart, mind, body, and spirit learning how to live with what has happened, what has changed, or what is no longer present.
We often associate grief primarily with death. However, grief can occur whenever we experience the loss of something or someone significant. We may grieve the loss of:
* A loved one through death
* Health or physical ability
* Independence
* A marriage or significant relationship
* Employment or financial stability
* A familiar role or identity
* A home or familiar environment
* A season or stage of life
* Expectations, plans, or dreams for the future
In a real sense, grief affects the whole person—emotionally, physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.
From a biblical perspective, grief is not something Christians are simply supposed to “get over.” Scripture does not minimize our suffering or deny the reality of our pain. Rather, God meets us in our suffering and provides His presence, comfort, strength, truth, and hope as we journey through it.
GRIEF IS NOT LIMITED TO DEATH. GRIEF OCCURS WHEN LIFE CHANGES AND WE ARE FORCED TO ADJUST TO A REALITY WE DID NOT EXPECT, REQUEST, OR DESIRE.
Therefore, “good grief” is not the absence of sadness, tears, questions, or pain. Good grief is learning to process loss in healthy, honest, biblical, and hope-filled ways so that the loss becomes part of our story without becoming the end of our story.
I want to invite you to journey with us during the “Good Grief Series”. Please, mark your calendars and plan to attend Sept. 17, Sept. 24 and Oct. 1, 2026. That’s three consecutive Thursdays at 6 p.m. at church or online! Dr. Tonjanika Jackson, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with more than 26 years of experience will be our facilitator. She is a born again believer in Christ and will help us merge our faith and therapeutic strategies together. Her aim is to help us to Understand Grief, Normalize Grief and Move Towards Purpose After Loss.
