We are commited to, “Earnestly contend for the Faith once delivered to the Saints.” We sing out of our Hymnals. Victory Missionary Baptist Church believes in the Bible and we preach and teach from the Kings James Version and hold to the doctrine that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We also believe that the Lord Jesus Christ started His church during His earthly ministry. "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18), and gave them (His church he had been pastoring for over three years) the Great Commision "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:18-20). We beilive the church is defined as a called-out assembly of scripturally baptized believers, covenanted together, to carry out the commands of our Lord and SAvior, Jesus Christ. Victory Missionary Baptist Church is comprised of everyday men and women, and lots of children! Each member is warm and welcoming, and comes from all walks of life. We have carpenters, plumbers, electricians, musicians, singers, writers, cooks, hunters, fishers. We have been making improvements to our facility including new front doors and a smooth blacktop driveway that makes entering and exiting the property so much safer. We have installed security cameras and have plans to move and expand our playground, have a new sign built that will be legible from Highway 80 no matter what direction you are traveling. We a deep passion for reaching people. We want to invite all to attend our services, and we hope that you'll join us in our efforts to reach the surrounding areas of Greenwood, Waskom, and Bethany! We are a loving family that loves the Lord and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. We are here to serve this community while reflecting the Light of the world which is Jesus Christ.
