Our own Senior Pastor Eric T. Henry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

AI Can’t Do This
Matthew 9:35-38

The scripture text says “The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.”

What is Artificial Intelligence, or AI? AI can solve problems and write programs, it is the intern that never sleeps. It uses calls, email and ticket data at a call center and transforms the work of hundreds of people to 50 workers. AI has entered our modern day era and has replaced many positions. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ should be the most sought after position. This job is extremely important, life and death depends on it. This job is responsible for the winning and saving of souls…AI can’t do that!

Teaching is needed apart from Preaching only. We cannot just come to church only on Sundays, hear the word and not find time for God any other time throughout the week. We must learn the details of God’s word! Healing only leads to an emphasis of the needs of the flesh, neglecting the need for God as physical and spiritual healer. A harvest of men, women and children need to be reached and taught. Christ needs believers because the laborers are few. He needs them now! Why are the laborers few? Because some reject the call, some postpone the call, some deny the call, some close their minds to the call entirely, some lack commitment, some are satisfied where they are and carrying on just as they’ve been.

We must collectively pray for workers/laborers. We must be committed to learning and being all that we have been called to be. You have a higher calling on your life to reach those that AI can’t reach, a word is needed for the world today that AI can’t teach. Hallelujah! 🙌🏽 What a word!

Our own Executive Pastor Nadine Shingler-Henry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

Stuck Between A Rock & A Hard Place
Genesis 16:7-9

In the scripture text, an angel spoke to Hagar - God showed Himself to her. When He showed up, Hagar recognized Him. Sometimes God may have come to us one way in the past, but wants to show up another way now that we are more mature. Sometimes He may choose to show up in ways we do not want Him to show up. When Hagar found herself in the desert and the angel spoke to her, she saw the one who met her where she was and knew her. He called her by her name not just Sarai’s servant. He saw her pain, disappointment and frustration. God sees us on the outside as well as the inside, hallelujah! God was not distant in her pain. That is why we can trust Him, because He sees, He cares, He hears, and He will answer.

God did not tell Hagar what she wanted to hear but what she needed to hear. She was told to go back and face the music and trust in Gods timing. God was preparing her for her next chapter. When you find yourself stuck between a rock in a hard place, submit to God and trust that He will see you through. Don’t take matters into your own hands or run away, stand still. Hagar left slavery behind, raised her son and became the mother of a nation. Do not forsake the hard places, they are necessary. God does his greatest work in darkness, our weeping may endure for a night but Joy comes in the morning! Hallelujah! What a word🙌🏽

Our own Mission Pastor Theresa Perry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

Keep Me as the Apple of Your Eye
Psalm 17:8

The pupil is the black opening in the center of the eye. It is essential for clear vision assisting with focusing. The human eye is very essential to the human being. The eyelids are vital to the preservation of sight, they shield the eye from bright light, dust and harmful objects.

The eye is delicate and just as it is to us, so are we to God. That’s why we are the apple of His eye. In the scripture text, David requested for God to keep him as the apple of his eye and to hide him under the shadow of His wings. David was asking God to protect him from harm and to stay in close relationship with him.

We are God’s treasured possessions. We are cherished and loved by God. We are the center of His attention and highly valued 🙌🏽 That is enough to praise and worship God for who He is - Hallelujah! Being the apple of God’s eye means we are always in need of His protection. We depend on God as our shepherd to provide guidance. All He longs for is to keep us safe but we must trust Him and allow Him to lead and guide us. God promises to hide us in the shadow of His wings.

Like a chiropractor gets your body in alignment, we need to run to God, kill our flesh and get back in alignment with His will & His way! For we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession - The Apple of His Eye!
