✨ 20 YEARS OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS! ✨

Part Two of our 20th Anniversary Celebration! 🙌🏽🎉

What an AMAZING time we had in the presence of the Lord today! We continued celebrating 20 years of God’s grace, goodness, and faithfulness with worship, fellowship, love, and joy. ❤️

🔥 “A CHOSEN GENERATION” 🔥
A powerful and timely word was brought forth by our very own Executive Pastor, reminding us of who we are, whose we are, and the purpose God has placed before us. We are truly a chosen generation, called to carry the legacy forward and walk boldly in what God has for us! 🙏🏽

Another special highlight of today’s celebration was presenting our Annual Love Award to this year’s recipient! 🏆❤️ This award is a beautiful reminder of the love, dedication, kindness, and service that make our church family so special.

We are grateful for 20 years behind us and excited for everything God has ahead! The best is still yet to come! 🎉🙌🏽

Our own Executive Pastor Nadine Shingler-Henry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

A Chosen Generation
1 Peter 2:9

The scripture text says “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

There are 6 living generations among us today. This includes The silent generation, The Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, Gen Z, and Generation Alpha. These 6 generations have seen and been through different things over the course of their lives.

We are living in the last times. Believers are coming back into the fold seeking restoration. Those living in darkness are seeking answers and we must be ready. The world is looking for laborers, we are the Chosen people. The chosen represent the people who accept the invitation, believe and change their lives to match the rules. We have not been chosen by ourselves but God has chosen us! The chosen are the ones willing to be molded and conformed to His will.

God is calling us to task, to work together so that our individual gifts may be utilized for the Kingdom to carry out His will. There are 7 different types of chosen ones: Intercessors, Cycle breakers, Seers, Healers, Builders, Spiritual Warriors, and Spiritual Teachers. As New Testament believers, we are God’s chosen people. He loves and chose us to love and care for others. We are chosen because of Gods grace. As a chosen generation we are set apart, holy as God is holy. We should strive to live lives that reflect God’s character - let’s get back to Eden & live on top of the world! Representing Christ to a dying world!

It doesn’t matter how we start, but how we finish. Sometimes we need to ask God to take us back to where we came from - to be reminded so that we can appreciate where we are & look forward to where we are going! Hallelujah🙌🏽 God is calling us to wake up from our sleep. God wants to give us beauty for our ashes, He wants to restore us - You are Chosen! We are a Chosen Generation!!🙌🏽 Hallelujah!

We’re so grateful for 20 years of God’s grace, faithfulness, and favor. Here’s to celebrating where we’ve been, where we are, and all that God has in store for us! 🙏🏽✨

Our own Senior Pastor Eric T. Henry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

Put On Christ
Romans 13:8-14

You may have noticed that things we wear are getting smarter. Watches track our heart rate, rings and wrist bands monitor our sleep, it won’t be long before things we wear know more about us than our doctors. Our clothes may not talk to us but the things we wear are increasingly connected, responsive and full of information. Everyday we choose what we will wear - our clothes, our shoes, our jewelry. A sports jersey says one thing, and a business suit says another. A uniform such as firefighter’s clothing, a judge’s robe, a wedding ring, all symbolize different things. These uniforms change how we conduct ourselves.

It’s not “what” but “who” we put on. Paul commands us to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. In the scripture text, Paul asks what identity are we wearing? The world is watching what we are wearing. It is imperative to put on Christ! It is time to wake up from our sleep, too many are not watching and observing the sign of the time, lazily passing through life. Our salvation is nearer than when we believed & judgement is at hand. Do you know what time it is? Believers are not people who build their lives in darkness or night. We must build our lives in the morning. We must put on the Lord Jesus Christ as our garment. Clothing affects how we move - heavy boots change the way we walk, a uniform changes how we carry ourselves. Likewise putting on Christ changes the way we live our lives!

You cannot put on Christ while keeping another outfit ready in the closet. Discipleship means deciding which identity we will actually wear! Paul stresses, that the most weighted decision we make everyday is not what we wear but who we wear! Before you step into each day, make the decision who you are wearing today. You can forget your watch, you can forget your jacket but don’t forget to put on Christ! Hallelujah🙌🏽

Our own Evangelist Hope Henry brought forth the message this morning entitled:

Praise & Worship
Psalm 100:1-5

The scripture text says “Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”

This scripture tells us to shift our focus from our worries and daily cares to the creator of the universe. Praise is the outward expression and reverence to God for who He is. Genuine connection with God begins with an attitude and appreciation for who He is! Joy is a deep lasting spiritual gladness that comes from God. Joy is an important part of the 9 fold fruits of the spirit. Joy is often equated to happiness, but happiness depends largely on happenings. But Joy is a deep lasting spiritual gladness that comes from God and God alone.

The bible gives us many examples of those who praised God in various ways. Through song, dance, prayer, and quiet bowing. Hannah praised the Lord with a prayer of thankfulness for answering her prayers for a child, and Mary sang a joyful song of praise unto God for what He was going to do for the world through Jesus. Praise breaks chains and brings healing. God inhabits the praise of His people!

Worship is a whole person response of deep reverence, honor and obedience to God. Worship is a lifestyle, it involves every part of daily life. Worship is expressed through inner feelings and outward expression. The bible gives many examples of worship both loud and quiet. They are all appropriate expressions of love and appreciation to our God. Job bowed down unto God in worship even after losing everything and God restored Him double for his obedience. Worship rightly aligns our hearts and moves us from passive observers to active participants.

The scripture text says “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” We have been given a command and call to worship and praise! 🙌🏽 Hallelujah, what a word!
