This means that everything that we do and say is focused around Jesus Christ. Our worship, meetings, and fellowship events revolve around the belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Our purpose is to serve Christ and to praise Him at all times! We fully understand that without Christ, our lives would be meaningless and have no purpose. In 1928 a group of Christian men and women, under the

leadership of Bro. Charle Stewart, saw the need for another Baptist church is Greenwood, SC. This dedicated group had its beginning in the home of Rev. The group moved to the East End School and from there to the Fairgrounds on Phoenix St. Here the church was was organized by the Executive Board of the Little River Baptist Association under the leadership of Moderator J.S. Maddox, Sr. The name of the church was given by Sis. Malinda Thompson. After holding services for several months at the Fairgrounds, the members purchased a permanent home belonging to Jessie Stewart on Baptist St., where the current facility stands. This house was eventually converted into a small edifice for worship services. YOU are always welcomed at TBC!!! We believe that everyone is a child of God and you are special! Regardless of your occupation, your age, your gender, or your financial status, you are always welcome to join us in worshipping Jesus Christ. No one has the right to stop you from worshipping, and know that at TBC you can have a home in which to worship freely. Finally, we have love for all people as we serve God! We believe that once you truly accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your outlook on life changes. As a person, you understand that your earthly life is short, so you make each day count feeling happier that you are serving a living God and your life becomes a ministry. Life becomes joyful because you are now living for God and not this temporary world. We are open at the following times:
Sunday School - Sundays @ 9 AM
Worship Service - Sundays @ 10 AM (9 AM on 5th Sundays)
Weekly Bible Study - Wednesdays @ 7 PM

Let’s be real, if there was ever a time we needed to talk to God, it’s right now. Between the way our voting rights are being handled and the violence we’re seeing in our own neighborhoods, we are in a crisis and most people don't realize it.
We shouldn’t wait until trouble shows up at our own front door to start praying together as the bible commanded the people of God, let’s get ahead of it and ask God to move and to show us exactly how we need to move in times like these.
