Community of St. Mary, Eastern Province This is the introduction of the Community of St. Benedictine in ethos, the sisters of the Eastern Province of the Community of St.

Mary, Eastern Province, an Anglican monastic order in Greenwich, NY adjacent to the Episcopal Diocese of Albany's Christ the King Center. Mary seek to live a traditional, contemplative expression of the monastic life, giving Evangelical witness to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through Catholic faith and practice, empowered by the Holy Spirit in sanctified daily life. The Province is comprised by

two houses -- in Greenwich, NY, and Luwinga, Malawi, Africa. The sisters in both houses draw near to Christ through a disciplined life of prayer set within a simple agrarian lifestyle and active ministry in their local communities.

The Sisters of St. Mary will give their last presentation on the growth of the work of the Sisters in the Anglican Diocese of Northern Malawi in the DFW area at St. Francis Anglican Church Dallas, Thursday, May 9. We will join in the celebration of Holy Eucharist in honor of the Ascension of Christ at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and presentation following. Everyone is welcome.

St. Francis is my home parish in Dallas, which supported me in my entry into the religious life in 1991.

Tonight on the campus of Wheaton College -- an evening with the Sisters of St. Mary -- the first Anglican Order of Protestant nuns in America. There will be presentations by Mother Miriam, representing the founding Order in upstate New York and Sister Martha representing the newest foundation of religious Sisters in Malawi, Africa. There will be a time of Q&A following.

Margaret "Peggy" Willis passed away peacefully this morning at St. Mary's Convent in Greenwich, New York. After the custom of the Sisters with whom she has lived for more than 30 years, a Requiem Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on the earliest open date -- Wednesday, February 7, at 8 a.m. in St. Mary's Chapel in Greenwich. The Sisters welcome your prayers.

May she rest in Peace.
